That right there is why no one should take Atlanta seriously as a contender until they prove it

Should have been PI, but the playcalling down the stretch was bad.

That was a total blown call by the refs; and Dan Quinn responded with a George Brett-like explosion.

Seahawks be are most physical in league on that stuff...they should get called more than they do

You will never, ever get DPI called on that play ("jump ball" pass, DB looking back for ball, last minute of the game). Quinn's anger is understandable; the announcers' sympathy for him isn't.

I don't care who wins but that was incredibly blatant DPI that prevented Jones from catching the ball and probably took the win away from Atlanta. Just an awful awful no-call, but the inability of NFL refs to call PI properly is one of the worst things about this whole sport.

He fucking grabbed his arm when he was about to catch the ball. There is no reason not to call that every time.

Please. Look at the replay. Sherman clearly grabbed and held JJ's arm and dragged him down as the ball arrived.
And I agree it was a DPI but it wasnt a mugging. If it was a mugging they would have called it. Instead Sherman got away with a move that a veteran CB can get away with. Again, it was DPI ... Im not arguing that at all

I don't see why this is the case. Julio catches that ball, what, 100 out of 100 times if he has two hands? It wasn't like it was a hail mary situation.

So it's not a mugging but it's blatant pass interference that absolutely should have been called. Are we parsing vocabulary over the usage of the word "mugging"?

Where did I use Blatant? I know reading is hard but I never used blatant or anything else that said it was anything more than DPI ...

Seriously? Are there degrees of pass interference? If you agree it was PI, what's your point?

It was a horrendous non-call. Just accept it and move on.

That was a bullshit non-call, and whether you call it a mugging, blatant, or brutal anal rape really doesn't matter. It absolutely fucked ATL out of the game.

If that call had hurt the Patriots, I doubt the accepting it and moving on would happen for weeks
No doubt. But if the Pats had gotten away with something like that I would have just accepted it and moved on, and not argued about whether it was a mugging or blatant, or just your average run-of-the-mill pass interference with the game on the line.

Let us now open the Book of Flacco to Chapter One, Verse 2. "And lo unto Torrey Smith I will deliver a most uncatchable ball..."

Well, considering I'm still salty about that flag that was picked up when Kuechly mugged Gronk in 2013 and ended costing us HFA, I'd say you're right.
And the non-safety & phantom pi in the 2005 AFCDG

It makes no sense to me that teams with shitty defenses defer to the second half. So you want to get in an early hole?
