So they could have afforded to lose Dez? Tyron? Frederick? Zack Martin? Dak?

Sorry I just don’t think the Cowboys woes are simply due to Zeke and Lee’s absence. They were 5-3 with them. There are bigger problems than just those two missing time.
One loss was to the very good Rams and then they got Rodgers'd and Linehan'd against Green Bay.

And yes I think they could have survived injuries to any of those other guys, but you take the guy the offense is based around and the guy the defense is based around, and they are fucked, as you see.

Leaving aside how good the Rams are or are not, Alfred Morris is averaging around 5 yards per rush this and last week. Zeke is the man and all that but how much better would he be doing?

And are you seriously saying that replacing Dak with Rush Cooper would be better than replacing either Lee or Zeke with their backups?

Because as been discussed ad nauseum, the very good QB's numbers outdoors and on the road are somewhat pedestrian.
So what? He doesn’t need to throw for 350/3 TDs for them to win. You’re completely underselling the Saints.

He kind of did today against a not-good Washington team, and I didn't realize I was completely underselling anything. I didn't make the initial post. But rah-rah Saints, man.

If you don’t think they stand any chance of a road playoff win against Philly then, yes, you are. This is a good team. Probably not as good as Philly but certainly capable of beating them on a good day.

I didn't say they don't stand a chance, and neither did the OP. He said he didn't see them winning. It's a pretty milquetoast comment you're getting yourself all riled up over.

I personally think losing Tyron Smith was worse than losing Zeke. Tyron is prob back next game, but likely too little too late.

Either way, they were missing 3 all pro players the past 2 weeks. The Cowboys went from prob a likely playoff team to a bad team. It is hard to overcome 3 all pro losses...unless maybe you are the Patriots.

For those on mobile: The 37-9 final has happened only *once* before: 2011 with Houston over Tampa.

Also: 4th time since 2000, 7th overall time, that the Eagles have had 215+ rushing yards against the Cowboys. Oddly enough, this includes a 17-14 loss in 1986, although Dallas outgained them 389-317 in total yards (flawed, I know).

Do you mean three All Pros like:

Jason Peters
Darren Sproles
Jordan Hicks

All three critical pieces and out for the season many games ago?

Or like Fletcher Cox and Zach Ertz, both of who have missed games this season too?

I have no sympathy for Dallas missing their Will and LT for two games. They’re 5-5. They’re average at best.

I mean the way #4 played tonight Cooper Rush couldn't have been much worse, although Bills fans were probably saying that about their situation too.

You got me. I was wrong about Hicks having made a Pro Bowl. Honest mistake.
Either way, All-Pro does not equal Pro Bowl. The former is a legit honor while the latter has become meaningless fluff.

you know BB is watching this game figuring out a way to have a guy like Kamu do a surprise onsides kick if he can only find another LB/ST type who can kick ... should've kept him bill!
We tried this with Nate Ebner a couple years ago, the results were less than exciting IIRC

I know what Gruden meant, but the 93 year old veteran raising the flag in Seattle is not "chilling".

Well, you haven't watched enough tape then Gruden. That's my second favorite play they run. Of course, those are the only two Bevell plays that are any good.

Really pisses me off that I had to miss 3 minutes of the game because my wife is taping MULTIPLE garbage reality show reunion specials.

I love the behind the quarterback shots inspired by the fog game this year in Foxborough.

But what I really wish ESPN would do is split screen with a nonstop Richard Sherman reaction cam. It is hard to have some plays transpire without seeing what Richard is thinking or doing. Like, what was his reaction to Coleman's three-yard run? How can we watch this intelligently without knowing what Richard thinks?

Went back and watched it.

Thought he would get away with it due to the “throw over the sideline with someone within 15 yards and your okay rule” that seems to exist. Apparently not this time.
