I think he can play a lot more corner than Chung. Is Mills Chung insurance? Seems comparably versatile.
Chung's main role in coverage was against opposing TEs, no? Mills is 25 pounds lighter and may have some trouble in that regard.I think he can play a lot more corner than Chung.
This good guy/leader thing seems like a theme with all the guys they agreed with today, and I like it.
It's not you ... I have No. 8 posts on ignoreWhy you got me on ignore homie? Post #8.
Figures, with your screen name. It's not you ... I have No. 8 posts on ignore
The end of Chung is going to be very expensive. Cutting him is more expensive than playing him.I don't think this has any bearing on Gilmore. I think this more likely spells the end for Chung.
You are correct... Just looked at that. But yeah, I still don't think it says anything about Gilmore. The end of Chung is going to be very expensive. Cutting him is more expensive than playing him.
I'm not sure it means anything yet. Theres so much volatility in the secondary right now, Mills is a good safety net. Gilmore and Jackson could be out the door, they lost depth with Jason McCourty leaving, Chung may be washed...I don't think this has any bearing on Gilmore. I think this more likely spells the end for Chung.
I don't think this move signals that. Not super confident in JoeJuan, but D-Mac, J-Mac, and Chung are old and and Gilmore and Jackson are trade bait so you definitely could use some more defensive backs.Am I crazy to think that this move may signal a lack of faith in JoeJuan? I know you can't really read into anything in March but wondering where he sits entering his pivotal 3rd year. For now, guess he's just a depth piece.
Fair enough. Clearly seems like a move that gets the team a quality starter and more options to move some of the current roster in trade. Will be interesting to see how it all comes together.I don't think this move signals that. Not super confident in JoeJuan, but D-Mac, J-Mac, and Chung are old and and Gilmore and Jackson are trade bait so you definitely could use some more defensive backs.
I wonder what that means in terms of 2021 cap hit?Jalen Mills (Patriots) four years, $24M, $9M gtd, $2.5M signing bonus, salaries $3M (gtd), $4.5M ($3.5M gtd), $5M, $5M, up to $1M in active roster bonus
I was just coming here to post this. Day late and a dollar short I guess. Can we bury the “no one cares about the aura” forever?

Is there any chance that Mills could be a candidate to take over for DMC in centerfield in 2023?
I dont know about position, but he was a shit-ton better than I expected after JC Jackson departed. Is there any chance that Mills could be a candidate to take over for DMC in centerfield in 2023?
