No. At least Smoltz didn’t think so. Me neither (as we said as kids).
Post game guys were saying Wade Miley, as Brewers best pitcher, should go further into game 2. Wade Miley!
Done, but, after Papi soaking him for a while, he peeled open the Red Sox shirt to reveal Yankee T-shirt, and put on a Yankee hat.
Neither fan base wants him, maybe he could go back to representing TEX or SEA.
Wade Miley ruined Pedro's number retirement night.
As such, I will continue rooting for the Brewers, but hope that they win 26-25 after Miley lets up 25 runs in the first inning, never to be seen again.
I first read that as Papi revealing a Yankee shirt and putting on the hat. Quite a relief watching the video.
Edit: No, I don't know why Papi should even be doing that. The mental image alone basicly froze my brain.

I know you are kidding, but I wonder how much is true in that story about using the cutter turning his career around.
Just jumped in to make two observations (which probably have already been made):
1. Machado is an uber talent but what a dog.
2. Wade freaking Miley is mowing down the Dodgers in game 2 of the NLCS. Wade. Miley. His last three seasons before this one:
2015: 4.46 era, 1.36 whip
2016: 5.37 era, 1.42 whip
2017: 5.61 era, 1.73 whip
And then...
2018: 2.57 era, 1.22 whip
WTF?

They don’t want to foul up their swing is what hitters usually say, all the way back to Ted Williams.
The previous three years his overall stats were 5.10 era and 1.46 whip. Then he puts up a 2.57 era and 1.22 whip? The switch to the NL was worth 2.53 era and 0.24 whip?
Roberts is letting the Brewers dictate his lineup and decisions. Play Peterson, Muncy, Bellinger. You got here hitting homeruns.
So let's look at the bottom of the 6th here. Miley is mowing them down. 0-0 game. Miley due up third.
The first two guys get out = let Miley hit.
The first two guys get on = let Miley bunt OR pinch hit.
One guy gets on, the other gets out = ?????

Yeah, mixing and matching a bit is fine but sitting all three, particularly Muncy, because of Wade Miley, is playing right into this.
I remember Remy saying that hitting oppo was a good way for some hitters (JBJ, e.g.) to get back to hitting. So, maybe hitters in deep slumps might try it?
Man, putting 85 HRs on the bench because of Wade Miley. That'd drive me crazy.
Brewers remind me of 2007 Rockies so much. Long winning streak and inexplicably winning without any legit starting pitching.
