A couple fun teams to watch in the 2 earliest games with ND and Iowa St. Gotta get my work done this morning.

Perfect bracket odds: http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/the-odds-of-a-perfect-march-madness-bracket/

I love these 2 parts:

If you follow FiveThirtyEight’s March Madness predictions in every game, you’ll have a 1 in 1,610,543,269 chance of calling every game right.

Followed by:

We don’t count the four “play-in” games in Dayton, Ohio — if we did, your chances would be zero because Manhattan already lost to Hampton, the underdog according to the FiveThirtyEight model.

Wish they'd put a competitive game or 2 in the opening window.  These 3-14 and 2-15 games stink.  That being said, I'm sure one of them will lose now that I say it.

Northeastern looking alright in the early goings at least.

Quick question. I'm going to the NCAA Final Four games in Indy on that last Saturday. Do they sell beer at them? I know if it's on campus NCAA games, schools can't sell "adult beverages"

No beer allowed at NCAA tournament games. And schools can sell beer at on campus games. Most choose not to sell.

Are you sure?

Looks like beer sales are banned at the NCAA Championship game, but not Final Four.

Typical NCAA. Try to ban it everywhere, but the Luxury Boxes and allowing CBS to have InBev one of the largest sponsors on TV. NCAA must be the worst organization in all of sports. They are such frauds. Money for us? Great, no rules! Money for anyone else? DO YOU HAVE NO MORALS????

Northeastern playing steady ball right now. Notre Dame always chokes in the tourney and they usually lose earlier than they should but I would be really surprised if they lose this game. On Saturday if they lose, however, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

If they do lose today, it would be funny.

Interesting. Every NCAA tournament game I've ever been too there has been no beer sales at all including FF but that was back in '99

So what you're telling me is that the NCAA may be applying policies unevenly based upon what's in their best interest? Sir, I cannot believe you'd even consider that.

Back to the games, Northeastern is playing well. Been rebounding well and controlling a lot of the pace of play.

I think maybe "championship events" doesn't just mean the championship game, but means the tournament itself.

I could be wrong.  I've only been to the final four once, and the tap heads were definitely removed, but I've been to the first two rounds probably a dozen or more times, and I've never been able to buy a beer.  I've also been to the Big East tournament many times, and I remember some years you could get beer and some you couldn't.

It has apparently, though, relented a bit on having NCAA championship events in Nevada and Oregon, so maybe it's loosening its alcohol policy too.

I'd give my left arm to see ISU go down here.  Team that most scares me in Duke's bracket.

ISU will definitely fuck me for sure. I got roped into believing that their style of play and the efficiency of their offense would take them far. The lesson, as always, is that I am a moron.

NWestern still hanging around. Could be a 2 point game. Notre Dame is always so uninspiring. I can't believe I made a wager on them.

Live read on the air.

"If you're bracket is already busted, play the CBS bracket 2nd round bracket challenge."

There have been a total of zero brackets busted thus far in the tourney.

Huskies not playing bad but the turnovers plus the foul calls are frustrating. Still a lot of time left.

That was a killer for the Huskies.

They've had their chances.

Edit: and by "that" I mean the failure to convert the turnover on three attempts. But it just as easily could apply to your comment re: the no call.

Two behind the back dribbles, a spin, and a dish for the dunk for ND.  Nice.

Why are these games going to commercial way more often than usual?  I feel like every stoppage is a timeout now rather than just the usual under 16, under 12, under 8 and under 4.

Big steal by ND. Big time play, NU comes right back though. long ways to go but I don't have a good feeling.
