Theoretically, you could do something that involved Arizona using Savard's cap hit as part of the mix.  Arizona: Jones, Savard, #15, and Spooner for the #3.  Buffalo #3, 13, 14 and future 1's for the #2.    Boston: #2 and future 2 & 3.
Phoenix gets Rask and Spooner.

Would you be surprised?

“@FriedgeHNIC: Martin Jones and 13th pick are part of deal. Not sure if anything else.”

Eichel or bust, at this point. I'd love Hanifin but Eichel is the only outcome that doesn't have me canceling my Gamecenter subscription.

In a vacuum, this one is OK. I wonder if they try to flip Jones, he'd been in demand. No way they make these 3 picks, right?

I agree, I'm ok with this deal. Just wish it was just this one and not the other two.

Miller is a solid get - honestly, the Lucic return if it's 13/Jones/Miller is more than solid, considering his style of play, 1 year remaining on his deal, and the cap relief. Now Sweeney's gotta turn at least two of 13/14/15 into a higher pick.

So this deal isn't so bad.  I expect Jones is heading somewhere else?  Miller is a great skater with a good shot and this probably gets the Bruins Timo Meier tonight.  I'm looking for bright side here.

Fully expected them to extend Lucic. Fine deal.

Cap problems no longer a valid reason for trading Dougie, though... Not that they were before.

sad to see him go (I as well am a Looch fanboy) but good trade, better value. Easily the best he's made today.

Good trade. Lucic was overpaid and not a consistent performer. Pending UFA after next year who wanted more money likely. Good return for him depending on what they do with the pick for him and the player and prospect.

I spent a lot of time defending Lucic here, but it was time to move on. This return on this is acceptable.

Yeah, I can't be rational when it comes to Lucic, but trying to be... it seems like a good return.

In retrospect I am kind of glad these happened in this order, because if Lucic happened first I would have been excited and even more crushed by Hamilton.  Since I am already numb it doesnt fucking matter.

Without a doubt, Lucic brought back a better net return than Dougie Hamilton.

I have no idea on this planet how that happens.

Miller appears to be a small-ish all offense Dman. 52 points in 70 games at Manchester last year. 10 in 11 playoff games. Right shot.

Even with the disaster that is the Dougie deal, I'd be feeling great about this return and cautiously optimistic about things moving forward...if the McQuaid deal never happened. I can't get over that one.

One out of three ain't bad? Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset with 13 alone for Lucic. The Hamilton deal may actually be the worst trade in Bruins history, and McQuaid...

With Kelly coming off the books, they needed a replacement.

Huh, I actually like this one. A couple potential cheap contributors and a pick for an overpaid guy in the last year of his contract. Then again, I've never liked Lucic, so there's that...

Liking what hearing about Colin Miller. Sounds like a solid D and if we can use backup to snack third pick in this years draft I'm all in.

Strategy seems to be that those high draft picks turn into good, expensive players - so let's aim for the teens instead. Or maybe it's just to make it impossible to figure out what they got for Kessel.

I heard Bruins are paying half of Lucic salary next year.

Edit- as cshea said, 2.7M retained

California. Duh.
So instead if giving Dougie 5.5 million, spend half on Quaider and the other half to have Lucic in LA.

Cleared like $600K today. McQuaid+ Looch 2.7= 5.4. Looch in total was $6 million. Jones needs a deal too.

Cap space hasn't been cleared and they have 2 more NHL roster spots to fill.

God that fucking McQuaid deal. I'll never get over it.
