Spectacle of what though in terms of what is happening at that site?  Unless you expect LeBron to parachute in and announce his decision on-site, it's stupid.  As Shooter McGavin once said: "Damn you people, go back to your shantys."

Are we sure that he didn't have a childhood dream to be a major league baseball player?  He might, say, spend a year or two in the minors and then make a triumphant return to the NBA.
