This is kind of what I was getting at that LeBron's not hanging out on twitter. How did he lead them on? He didn't meet with them, he didn't say anything, etc... Basically we've had Chris Sheridan "reporting" a lot of nonsense, people trolling his website for color schemes, etc... What did LeBron do or say to lead people on, other than maintain radio silence?

 
I don't really know.  I'm assuming that there must have been some sort of behind-the-scenes communication between Team Lebron and the Cavs for them to make the moves they've been making, but maybe I'm overestimating the Cavs here.
 
To recap:  I may be underestimating Lebron's capacity for vindictive and narcissistic behavior and overestimating the Cav's ability to maneuver in the free agent market.  Fuck me.

From speaking to my friends with NBA teams, when I asked about this, they all told me very emphatically never to overestimate the Cavs. The management has changed, but the ownership is the same.
