Looks like you don't need a book bag either. How do I figure out how to watch these things? On YT?
I don't get the joke but I can readLooks like you don't need a book bag either.
Like kickboxing?Dumb dumb question. Is there some kind of mixed rule fight that would get this to be a fair fight? What do you guys think? Like if you could use your legs but not grapple or something? Lighter gloves? I realize I don't know what I'm talking about, just curious to hear from those that do.
This is very interesting especially the hand on your stomach tactic....thanks for the insight. This is a great point. I'm sure there's all sorts of dirty pool in UFC, especially in clinches or mounts, but there's no way he knows how to do dirt in a boxing match. Watch a guy like Hopkins or Floyd fight on the inside. Shit, watch Ward TKO Kovalev. Hopkins, Mayweather, those guys will clinch you, see the ref on the right side and use their left to punch your balls. Or not even your balls, your hip flexors. Shit you wouldn't even think of, but after 6 rounds, your lateral movement is shot.
One of my first sparring sessions was against this middling middlewieght pro. I think he was ranked 15th in the world maybe at some point. Had some fights on ESPN. Solid but unspectacular. Anyways, at some point, we clinch, and I feel him put his hand on my stomach, next thing I know I'm out of breath completely. We break and I'm straight winded. After we finished, I asked him what he'd done and he said he'd put his fist on my diaphragm and every time he heard me exhale he'd pushed it in deeper so when I went to breath next I could only fill my lungs halfway, then a quarter, then an eighth....
Shit like that takes its toll, and if you don't have the right temperament, knocks you right out of your game plan.
They're honestly close to the standard Air Force 1 soleA lot of people keep saying that McGregor doesn't look too much taller than Floyd. Hmmm.....wonder why....
Yeah it's pretty common knowledge. Floyd's baby mama was dating CJ and one thing leads to another and he's beating the sht out her in front of his kids. It's the assault that got him 6 months after the Cotto fight. So CJ Watson was fooling around with Money's wife? Allegedly. That is some world class trolling there by Conor.
I hope this becomes more widely known. Floyd really is a total shitstain of a human being. Beat up the woman in front of her kids, then threatened to beat the kids if they called the police.Yeah it's pretty common knowledge. There's no way he gives up 50-0. If you want to go all conspiracy theoty, they can get a huge pay day just by stringing this first fight out to a late stoppage or decision. McGregor's not supposed to be able to do that.So I'm hearing on some sports talk shows that this will be the biggest fight ever by revenue. Fighters will be taking home huge paydays.
I can't even imagine how big a rematch would be if Mayweather loses the first fight.
I know Mayweather loves his record - after all, he's applied for 5 trademarks for "50-0" - but any chance he likes the money more than that?
Nothing I've seen, and I wouldn't hold out much hope for a paid US stream. Showtime has PPV rights, and like HBO, they've previously shown an obstinate refusal to accommodate cord-cutters. Some would consider it an invitation to find alternative means.Question and sorry if this has been covered, is this available via stream? Trying to put a boys night together for it and the guy offering to host has a barn that would suit us perfectly but he has no cable, only internet for his tv in there. Looking for a workaround. Not worried about any kind of illegal feed as we will probably have 20 guys and $5/man isn't sweating anyone. We just want to watch it.
But you can still hide in the trunk like kids did when my parents were in school!Well this would be a bit unique: the Mendon Twin Drive-in is going to be showing the fight. $30pp, so no gaming it by stuffing a car full.
No way is there a rematch. If Connor somehow wins it will be because Mayweather is suddenly "old" or the public will see through the sham. If Mayweather wins as expected it is because he is fighting someone that isn't a boxer. There's no way he gives up 50-0. See if I was booking this fight, I would have Mayweather win, but it goes the distance and is closer than people expected. Connor claims that if they fought using his rules it would be a different results. So MMA rematch for big money once again. The public would eat it upNo way is there a rematch. Unless Mayweather wants to get into the Octagon, which there is 0% chance of, there is no rematch.
No one has ever gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public. From the pundits I have heard randomly on the radio, they seem to think that if Mayweather loses, the rematch will be bigger than the original. No way is there a rematch. Mayweather could knock out McGregor in the 1st round and McGregor can still rightfully claim it would be a different result in the Octagon. Don't think anything has to happen for their to be a potentially lucrative rematch in MMA except Mayweather would have to agree which I can't possibly see happening.See if I was booking this fight, I would have Mayweather win, but it goes the distance and is closer than people expected. Maybe I need to stop looking at things through a WWE lens...
I watched an all access epsiode and McGregor brought in Joe Cortez to try and get used to operating within the rules in the ring.On the undercard? There are amateurs who could beat McGregor.
From what I've heard, Connor pushed Paulie down, they took a photo and Paulie is livid and wants them to release the full video of the session. So, uh, Paulie did get his ass kicked a bit after all. Though obviously it's easy to cull a few seconds from dozens of rounds of sparring.
Right. They released some footage favorable to Connor. It was definitely a knock down. From what I've heard, Connor pushed Paulie down, they took a photo and Paulie is livid and wants them to release the full video of the session.
True, Mayweather would be like 100 to 1 dog. Connor is only 7 to 1 dog here which honestly is rare line gift, he should be 20 to 1, even at 40+ Mayweather won't allow any real punches to land, he is far too tactically sound. In the end I expect a McGregor DQ to try to save face in this "boxing match".Can we stop with the MMA rematch nonsense.Mayweather might be killed inside of 10 seconds.
Maybe I caught the wrong video but the "knock down" I saw was clearly a push. Either way, I'm enjoying people raging on Twitter as Dana White and co put out 45 seconds of what was 2 sparring sessions to build some hype and the Connor heads took the bait.Right. They released some footage favorable to Connor. It was definitely a knock down.
Absolutely right. I saw those this week and thought "this man is going to get killed."The real videos people should be talking about are the media workout ones , particularly the shadow boxing one. I hope that was a gag to give Floyd some false confidence.
