How quickly Marsch became an EPL retread! From the midlands down to the south coast would be quite the change for him.Whatever it is, they think Marsch can fix it!
The club is great story - part of the EPL founding class, down to the third tier in 2009, back in the EPL in 2012. They'd built such a strong, productive academy that just seemed to churn out quality EPL players, recruit budding stars, and spot superb managers on the rise. Not sure what the relationship is, but the club was sold in 2017, their were fewer big hits in the transfer market, and the talent pipeline slowed down significantly. And then they were sold again last year, invested a ton in young players, and brought in Jones to manage. Jones was some combo of a bad fit and over his head, so now it's emergency time.
Absolutely! What an incredible shift in momentum.Whoa. That was an exciting 15 seconds
There’s an assumption here not backed by any evidence. And what the heck was Pickford thinking there.
They've got a squad with four years of being used to RB Ball, so it makes sense in that he won't need to rewire it on the fly like he did Leeds. The downside is that they were playing RB Ball at a level which got Hasenhuttl sacked. How quickly Marsch became an EPL retread! next up Leeds. Have to do well vs team that can't find next managerNew manager bounce may have been short-lived.
With DCL out, it's as if this was an actual Burnley roster that Dyche was used to without a real striker. All he needs is a Dave Fishwick stand!Welp. - Everton were right there until Tarkowski's header got turned into that counter. That reminded Liverpool that they had the better attackers and that was that.
There were about a dozen balls that went awry off Everton feet - several in the attacking end, including a dreadful free kick from the most frequent culprit, McNeil - and some howlers from Tarkowski. Coady whiffed on clearing the ball that became the second goal. I don't think they kept their focus.
Dyche has them more solid. More than the lack of cutting edge in front of goal, it's just their inability to absorb any kind of mistake. They can't piss away possessions and expect to compete.
They will stay up, I think.
For the club not to bring in a striker in January is criminal neglect, especially after getting 40 for Gordon albeit late.Simms looked the part physically and athletically, but he spent so much time as a lone wolf up top. It's hard to get a read on a kid in that situation, especially when he's just bedding in.
Just wanted to make sure this didn't go unnoticed.. Given how much City has been struggling recently it's amazing how quick City fans (or at least this one) are to dismiss the rest of the league... while simultaneously trying to claim victim of the big bad premiere league coming to get them.It shouldn't take City that much effort to ruin Villa or Arsenal. All in all, this was a disappointing showing, given the circumstances.
Actually, I'm wearing my Arsenal kit right now (as much as I've become more of a neutral since Wenger last days). Yet, I'm not blinded by their youth and inexperienceJust wanted to make sure this didn't go unnoticed.. Hm. Well I follow arsenal as well and last year I would have been more pessimistic and I thought they actually played City pretty well. And that was a better overall city team.Actually, I'm wearing my Arsenal kit right now (as much as I've become more of a neutral since Wenger last days). Is it on peacock? NBC has been putting many of their big matches on peacock so everyone can see how bad their streaming service is… because why try to grow the soccer audience on regular cable channels?wait, was NBC Sports afraid of going up against UCL on CBS? Why not have Arsenal-City on USA?
