You know what was funny listening to these three morons discuss art yesterday.
They all claimed that no one could tell the difference between a Monet and a painting you could get for $250.

Well Foxwoods didn't give him that suite last week for nothing.blueline said:On Twitter John Dennis appears to have spent the last few days campaigning for the casino in Milford.

The only significant impact @FoxwoodsMA will have on Milford is the GUARANTEED $30+MIL per year FOREVER to the town. #improvementstoMilford
The only significant impact! Can't believe those silly fools turned it down.

John Marzano Olympic Hero said:
Of course he does. Because people talk about it and say, "Hmmm. I wonder what Salk is going to say in response? I bet it's good!" and then they listen to the afternoon show. Then they listen to the response to the response.
Ten years ago, EEI used to do the same crap when the Big Show called D&C "The Soccer Moms" and they'd rip Dale and Arnold. And it all goes back to the (very real) tension between Glenn Ordway and Eddie Andelman, who used to snipe at each other all the time.
This back-and-forth bitching isn't real. And yes Virginia, Mike Adams "locking" himself in the studio wasn't real either.

Vandalman said:On the way in this morning D & C kept calling the Pats official "Sykes". I finally figured out that they were noting Jerome Boger's rather unfortunate visual and vocal resemblance to Wanda Sykes:
Who? D&C? That goes without saying. Or do you mean Wanda Sykes and Jerome Boger?Burgmeier In LF said:Regardless...I dislike them both

No, Wanda and Jerome...D&C are great!
That is absolutely mind roasting. The dude had four games to watch all weekend, as his *job*.Byrdbrain said:They asked him about something from the end of the Patriots game and he said he didn't see it because he fell asleep during the game. I wish I was making that up.
That's not really Adam Schefter's job. Schefter isn't an analyst at all. He's a news and rumors guy. I'd bet much more of his weekend was spent tracking coach movements and meetings than worrying about the weekend game.JayMags71 said:That is absolutely mind roasting. You keep missing the point. He is not supposed to be an analyst like Boomer (even though he sort of took his place.) As mentioned up thread, he is an "Insider." Would you expect Ken Rosenthal to analyze a game or Stephen A. Smith to do the same?Byrdbrain said:I agree he isn't an analyst and yes he said he was up early(he didn't get much sympathy mentioning that to the morning show guys) but come on you make a living talking about the NFL watch the damned games.
Also my main issue is just how bad he is, I assume they have a contract to have him on until the season is over but I'm sure he won't be back.
They probably have a contract to deal with footballs version of Hot Stove. Schefter deals primarily in negotiations and rumors. He's arguably doing less work by watching the games than making phone calls and keeping tabs on front offices.Byrdbrain said:I agree he isn't an analyst and yes he said he was up early(he didn't get much sympathy mentioning that to the morning show guys) but come on you make a living talking about the NFL watch the damned games.

I'm not missing the point at all, I understand his role. I'm really surprised that everyone thinks it normal for a guy who makes his living talking about a game and what goes on inside it fell asleep during a playoff game and admitted to such on the radio.richgedman'sghost said:You keep missing the point. First off I'm not upset I was pointing out something I thought was unusual, you don't it seems.PBDWake said:They probably have a contract to deal with footballs version of Hot Stove. Are you upset Mel Kiper isn't opining on the game? Or that Paul Lukas of uni watch isn't? I mean, they both deal with football as well.
Dan Murfman said:I know this shouldn't bother me but Dennis talking about the weather said it's going to be 59 and with the sun setting at 5:05 that there would be two hours of daylight at the game.

As mentioned in the Fixing EEI Thread...Julie Kahn is leaving. But I assume they meant bigger fish than that.PC Drunken Friar said:the opening on Toucher and Rich today alluded to "Big Changes!!!!" coming from some "others" who will soon be out of work, but that would anyone even notice? Both John Dennis and Gerry Callahan who are into their 15th year as WEEI's morning drive voices are widely expected to sign contract extensions in the upcoming weeks.
