He’s also related to the stiff they just sent to Providence. I don’t get it. Maybe try a different blood line?He is large, and produces about as much as Heinen. Signed for cheap through next season.
I think he’s a better fit right now than Heinen. Scores a bit more, plays a more physical game. Heinen has been in the doghouse lately too.I hope this is a precursor to opening up some cap space for something else.
Otherwise - don’t see the point.
They absolutely could use a large, physical player. We have been lamenting Kevan Miller's absence for a full calendar year and relying on geezers to drop the gloves when needed.i don't really get this. Save $1m on the cap?
I think this is spot on. They wanted a guy who could respond by hitting the opponents skill guys when guys like Ryan O’Reilly start running around hitting our guys.Only thing I can (sort of) think of - this is a reaction to being bullied in last years SCF. If he produces at the same level as Heinen, but may actually play a bit more of a punishing game - Sweeney/Neely see value in that.
You literally need bricks for hands to pull that off. Maybe that’s what they’re looking for.
Great with Ritchie and Kase on a line we might dominate the league in individual expected goals, which don't happen
I get this, but I don't know that this is Nick Ritchie either. He fights once or twice a year. He does hit. He's like a poor man's Patrick Maroon. They absolutely could use a large, physical player. We have been lamenting Kevan Miller's absence for a full calendar year and relying on geezers to drop the gloves when needed.
They got bullied because Berube whined to the media about penalties and mysteriously the refs immediately stopped calling penalties against St. Louis. I'm not sure that would happen again this year. Different actors, a different year.Only thing I can (sort of) think of - this is a reaction to being bullied in last years SCF. I mean, sure. That’s the logical way to look at this. They got bullied because Berube whined to the media about penalties and mysteriously the refs immediately stopped calling penalties against St. Louis. I'm not sure that would happen again this year. Different actors, a different year.
Donnie can't spell and is trading for Nicole Richie next. He’s also related to the stiff they just sent to Providence. I don’t get it. Maybe try a different blood line?
All jokes aside, if he can get in on the forecheck and drop the gloves when necessary, I like the move.
You're right, but when you're that close to the Cup, small tinkering like this may make the difference. Not saying I agree necessarily, but I like being a bit more well-rounded (at least in theory) since it didn't have any backslide in terms of quality (per reports) and is actually a cheaper avenue. They got bullied because Berube whined to the media about penalties and mysteriously the refs immediately stopped calling penalties against St. Louis. Lionel? Is there a third Ritchie? Could the Bruins be trying to create a Hanson brothers-esque line?
That's where I've been for a couple of months. And then in one of the recent games he seemed to take several hit-avoiding routes on 50-50 plays near the corners (as contrasted to Bjork, who goes straight into the muck), that the staff could not have been thrilled with.I think we've seen enough of Heinen to know that there's really not much more to his game. He's a 15 goal scorer (his high water mark is 16 from two years ago) and lately his analytics have been below average. Ritchie doesn't appear to be much of a goal scorer either, but his analytics are considerably better this year and he's $1m cheaper. It's a depth-for-depth move with both teams hoping that a change of scenery might help their new guys out.
So...he's bad a shooting, but makes up for it by generating lots of good shots. He might look like a good shooter in the highlights but historically he is consistently pretty bad at shooting, but makes up for it by generating lots of good shots
He scored in the only game I seen him play so that's enough for me to call this false and challenge you to a duel.He generates a ton of chances but can’t cash in.
