That’s a foul at midfield. Don’t see why it gets the VAR nitpick, hyper slow no treatment here.

He put his arm on him.. the foul wasn't in the feet. He pushed him off balance. But I guess if you slow it down to 1/8 speed it looks like it's nothing.

edit: there have been multiple calls this game that have gone Man U's way.

Don’t worry. Anthony Taylor is documented as not being a United fan.

Guys from Liverpool generally don’t do LFC or
Everton matches, but Manchester-born refs? No problem.

Hojlund is a hoj load. Having a big boy 9 opened things up for them last season. Weghorst is a savvy old veteran, tho, where Hojlund looks like a massive puppy.

I'm not sayin there's a conspiracy.. although there's a bit of PTSD from last year when Arsenal were screwed out of about 10 points due to various ref decisions.. including a number of PKs.

IMO it wasn't clear and obvious...but I know I'm biased. In real time the defender came across his body without hitting any of the ball.. Havertz may have lifted his feet, but I do think the defender was careless in grabbing his shoulder.

Decisions I thought were questionable.. Saka getting fouled and then getting a yellow. ManU player kicks the ball away after getting called for a foul and pretends he didn't hear the whistle.. yet he chipped it to no one obviously to waste time. A couple professional fouls that were carded..

it probably hasn't been that bad really... I just think VAR is a joke.

Evans has a real compliant that Gabriel was holding him, but that’s never going to get reviewed.

That was quite the swing in the last few minutes. Could be a bigger result both ways than a game this early should impact.

edit: I’m leaving it but damn…that’s some Me fail English?shit right there.

What’s up with the calf rip in Maetinelli’s socks?
However, one thing that was noticeable for supporters watching the game was the fact that the winger had two holes cut in his socks.

The reason that it is done is to release tension the socks put on the calf muscles, hoping to reduce the risk of injury that could be possible if left as usual. This isn't a new phenomenon, with the likes of Kyle Walker and Gareth Bale doing so for years.
Not the best source, but here you go. Martinelli is not the only one. Not sure how credible the claim is regarding injury.

So United lose to Arsenal but could have won if the Arsene Wenger rule had been in effect? Wheels within wheels ….

Ending with a CB pairing of Maguire and Evans really is something for a team that is supposed to be interested in challenging for the title.

Arsenal v Juve or Arsenal v Notts County? Time will tell.

In other news. Sky Sports have Mike Dean sitting next to Gary Neville, on the gantry, to comment on (and i quote Peter Drury) 'Contentious Decisions'.
Dean helping out his mate Anthony Taylor to the UK crowd. Did Dean call Taylor ugly again?

So let's see what West Ham are missing out on.
Not letting two goals in injury time...

Huh. I guess my calf muscles aren’t jacked enough to notice the pressure. Thanks.
I have purchased some socks recently and noticed they’re quite a bit tighter than the ones I remember back in the day.. they don’t seem to flex as much in my experience or be as elastic.. they kind of feel thicker.

would also say that all of the stitching is also night and day from when I was younger.
