I don’t often, if ever, follow the fortunes of ex Celtic managers but I’m fascinated how Ange-Ball translates to the upper echelons of the EPL. I’ve kind of made a point of watching their games.

As a Spurs fan, it's remarkable how quickly he has put his stamp on the team. After watching frankly regressive strategy by Mourinho and Conte, it's incredible to see largely the same players in a more aggressive, attacking system.

Then we see the other part of Ange Ball, but Romero gets back and Vicario pushes ball over for a corner. Shit is end to end.

Son with another. And is Solomon a better fit than Richarlison?

Two assists from Soloman now on his first start. Two pretty simple passes to Son, but still.

Oh, I love it.
It’s the “ we never stop” mentality. When he was up at Celtic, they would score a goal to make it 4:0 in the 87th minute and the Celtic scorer would be picking the ball out of the net and racing up to the center circle to place the ball for the kick off. 4 wasn’t enough. Goals are everything to him.

Richarlison in now for Son and you know he will still be gunning for it.

I read a story about how it's what he learned from his dad--his dad liked entertaining soccer and so he will always play that way.

As a fan of the game it's great to see Sonny happy and scoring goals. I wonder if Maddison is playing himself into a start for England.

I don’t know if he has a chip on his shoulder, I don’t think he has. I certainly wouldn’t blame him if he did but he certainly wasn’t the first choice of manager at Celtic and definitely not that high up the list of Spurs initially. But he did come highly recommended by the City group which is one reason I wanted Maresca and not Rodgers when he left. Same philosophy in styles.

5 goals, 3 of them exquisite and the other two well worked. Angeball is a profound treat of a way to start the weekend.

Just catching up now… Is there any reasonable explanation as to why City’s second goal stood other than VAR is taking the piss out of the league?

That seems like a horrible call. Still looking for explanations.

None, well none that can be taken seriously. At this point they need to fire all VAR employees and start over. Or my personal choice ( which will never happen) do away with it entirely. But I can dream.

Soon, hopefully, Brighton can call on any combo of Enciso, Ferguson and Fati up front. I wouldn’t trade that combo for many.

Fun fact, Evan Ferguson was born on Bloody Sock Day.

Also, can someone explain to my idiotic brain what a natural position for the arm to be in with all these handball decisions ? I swear that the people making up these rules have never played the game. Now you have defenders putting their hands behind their backs like a trussed up turkey when defending which is as from a natural position as you can imagine.

Stopped by the Hibernian FC ground to pick up some swag.
Are you interviewing for the manager job? If not, you should. I think they are up playing the sheep today. Hearts are at home to Motherwell. Meanwhile I just saw the Celtic team to play Rangers., Rodgers is taking the piss. I probably won’t watch it and just grab my fly fishing gear and walk down to the lake.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Gomez, Robertson; Jones, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Diaz, Nunez

Matip and Gomez at center backs (not that they had a choice) is going to be an adventure. Jones over Endo Is interesting given the defensive challenges of he Cb’s. Darwin Nunez earns his start.

Bellingham scored again? Unreal.

Watkins has to be excited. Neither Matip or Gomez are particularly strong organizing the back line. There’s doing to be some big gaps.
