No way. That foul was inadvertent - Dellavedova's defense is physical but its the coin of the realm for guys like that in the Association.
He is dirty but he has plenty of competition. Hell, his own teammate is dirtier than him (Dahntay Jones).
He's like Draymond.
I'm saying lay down the law in a situation where it's extremely unlikely to alter the course of the game.
He is right though. Jeez a foul like that barely merits a minute, even down the stretch.
As a side note, "me four" when it comes to Breen and Jackson. They are super mega painful.
That was horrendous. Irving has been pretty terrible today, at least on the offensive end.
Meh, he had a fairly high-percentage shot that just didn't go. I'm ok with the shot.
Why wouldn't Lue bring Lebron back in there for the final offensive possession? Putting him for the last 20 seconds won't hurt his rest too much, play for the last shot, and get a good look. IMO, that's a small mistake, but a basket there at the end of the quarter could have meant a lot going into the fourth. Calm the crowd down, bring the lead down to 3-4 instead of 6, etc. Kind of like when coaches play offense/defense substitutions during the end of halves/games/quarters. They got the ball back with 27 seconds left, put your best offensive guys in and get a bucket. Or at least a decent shot. Laziness.
Pretty solid game plan from Cleveland. They've done a good job at making non-Thompson/Curry players beat them. Unfortunately for them, the shots are going down.
Amazing that the Warriors have four guys in double figures, and none of them are Steph or Klay. Cleveland better steal this game because the Splash Bros. aren't going to shoot 6-22 every game.
It's a real shame we never got to see what Livingston's career would have looked like without the injury.
Klay and Steph won't play this badly going forward but it's really hard to imagine GS bench playing like this, too. This game is ovah, however. 1-0 GS.
The real issue's been Golden State's big guards in this bench lineup.Irving/Delly/Smith can all be posted up. And they've been getting killed by it. That's where all of the breakdowns begin.
Down by 16 with 6 minutes to go and LeBron is milking the shot clock down to 5. Someone explain that?
