You should see the EA FIFA twitter account responses when they announce server maintenance. Some warped people out there.
Those people are dumb, scheduled FUT maintenance is a great thing. Go on there right before it's supposed to happen and start putting as many bids on 1hr player auctions as you can, then rake in profit when the auctions end while the servers are down.
FIFA 15 is currently $29.99 through the xbox black friday sale. I hadn't planned on getting it, but pulled the trigger at 50% off. Quick google search shows it looks to be on sale for other platforms as well.
Man, my FUT squad sucks and I'm not getting enough coins to improve it fast enough. Getting worked.
I'm using the online season mode. I only have 1,600 points so far. To be fair, I'm only 5 matches into FUT. Would the single player season mode be better? I'm new to FUT obviously.
I meant like what squad, are you just using a basic bronze one? Tbh yesterday would have been the day to really grind it since the prices crashed so hard, but you can get some decent coins by grinding a couple offline tournaments. Once you have like 5000 coins you can build a passable starter squad
There is nothing more enraging than taking the lead only to have some shitbag sprint straight through the middle with an occasional zig zag to tie it up 5 seconds later.

2 things:
The update to FIFA has significantly improved the defense against pacey players and has basically negated the kickoff goals exploit. People can't just run straight through the teeth of your team now.
I've also significantly revamped the back end of my team and I've made it up to Div 4 now.
Running a 5-3-2:
Benzema/Chicharito
Kroos/Modric/James Rodriguez
Marcelo/Pepe/Ramos/Mascherano/Alves
Casillas
Literally just acquired Ramos like 5 minutes ago. The 5 defenders really clamp down on offenses and if anyone beats me, they have to work for it by really linking together a bunch of passes especially when my midfielders clamp down. It's basically 8 men in front of the goal.
When I need a jolt of offense, I bring Jodi Alba in for Marcelo to make runs at LWB or Jesus Navas in for Kroos at the end of the game. He can basically sprint past most fatigued defenders at will.

Not having a go at you Sodenj but I've seen a few teams like yours where its 9, 10, or 11 guys made up of all one team. Why not save the time and aggravation and just play online seasons?
BTW I took advantage of the Black Friday sale on promo packs, spent $20 to get FIFA points and scored Gareth Bale (who I already have).

Yea I'm super RM heavy. It's tough because they clearly have most of the best La Liga players. Like I said previously, I packed a Courtois and sold him off because I would have had to reconstruct my whole team.Zomp said:

Yeah its definitely tough to not sacrifice chemistry, but that's why I love ultimate team...you definitely have to get creative.
Zomp you have the best pack luck of anyone I've ever encountered. I see people all the time lamenting that they spend a million coins on packs and the best player they get is Falcao.

There's a lot you can do with whoever your favorite Real Madrid guys are (Kroos links with bundes players, James with Cuadrado/JMart/Ibarbo if you're evil, Benzema with all the sick Frenchies, etc.) and it's especially nice since I've always found BBVA back fours to be suspect.

I've been ultra involved in Destiny and basically only using the web app packs for building a team for when i get into FIFA. Starting to accumulate some non awful players, who would you guys look at inserting if you packed the following players:

Nothing wrong with just selling everyone and building the 10k team of your choice, that one you have there will wreck shit
edit- tweaked it a little for fun because I like the framework. Jesus-Handanovic is one of my favorite hybrid duos and this way you'll be able to use Santana. Lucas might be out of your range right now but he's worth it when you get the coins. You could also use Iturbe-Maicon, Biabiany-Konko or Hulk-Fernandes on the right side, among others. Getting more coins by scrapping out wins and draws. Got almost 3,000 coins. When should I start spending and should I start building from the back or get a better midfield first? Also, I'm playing a 4-4-2 and I really want to change my attacking options, but doing want to get burned defensively...opinions?

The three positions you'll want an impact player/pair of players if you can't afford a full gold squad are striker, CB and GK. Great nonrare CBs include Jesus and Nkoulou, but there are probably others. For GK/ST, there's a ton of gems in every league, just get creative with it. You can set a search filter on futhead to show just non-rares or just players under 1000 coins. Definitely don't limit yourself to one of the big four leagues since the best starter teams can be built from the French/Portugese/Turkish/Russian leagues and even MLS.

I was able to find some cheap but solid Brazilian CBs to go with Diego Alves at GK, and grabbed Donovan and Martins at ST and Dempsey at CAM/CF for a few thousand coins. Well, I found the Manager tasks and have all but 2 of them done. Tournaments have helped a bit too. Had no idea about the coin boosts as well. This noob is loving this mode so far.
For no one's benefit but my own, I want to tell you guys that I'm very proud of my promotion to Division 8 the other night.

There are bunch of great players whose contracts are expiring at the end first season who you are able to extend an offer to in January to join your team in the summer.
Top players I found and signed were Oscar, Khedira, Dani Alves, and Doumbia.
Its way cheaper than buying comparable players on the market and you could even sell them next January for a tidy profit.

Speaking of Career Mode (this is the first time this has ever happened to me), after finishing third and winning the Europa with Everton in year one, I was around the top four in November when Real came calling. Apparently they had sold Benzema the season before (to Chelsea I think-for whatever reason Jose buys more strikers during CM) and I was left with high 60 rated guys at striker. However I was given a full budget to use in January, so I'll probably steal Lukaku, Barkley, and Stones for some fun. I looked at Aguero but he moved to Barca the season before.

Wasted a bunch of coins on a stupid all Denmark team and then lost to RM in the finals and some random team in the semis of that tourney. Still need about 10k to recoup what I dumped into this waste of space squad.
After thinking about it, I've rebuilt the front 2/3 of my team and have made my team a 4-1-2-1-2 BPL/BBVA Hybrid:

I'm pingponging between divisions 2 and 3 now for the past month. I'm going to try a different formation with different players and see what happens. This is what I've come up with. 100 chemistry, all 9s (will be 10s once the loyalty kicks in).

I just got Aaron Ramsey out of a pack. I'm planning to add him to my BPL team, but haven't figured out where to put him. I have a 4-1-2-1-2 for this squad. Ramsey is a CM of course, and I'm thinking that he'd be best to move to CDM since I want to keep this formation. Thoughts?
