Yup that is what happened. To my knowledge I wasn't even being very vulgar or loud. I mean I was winning. You can turn off the Kinect so the warning goes away, but that feature brings nothing to the game.

If you see me playing anything but fifa it's probably my roommate. I have a midterm at 530 but I'll hopefully be on later tonight. It just comes with a bunch of fut packs, one per week for like 40 weeks. Only get it if you're gonna be playing a lot of fut for a long time (and even then you don't really need it)

Xbox One, but it was showing up on the web app this way.

It happened to me once on the Xbox and I ended up repopulating my teams.

It's working now on the web app - maybe it's just a bug that works itself out.

lol I just got to d4 today too except it took me twice as many seasons. I'm jealous of that team, I've wanted to use Bale all year. My money making days are well behind me, I haven't turned any profit and all players are depreciating. Out of sadness I blew 45k on premium gold packs and all I got was David Luiz.

How many ps4 players do we have in here? Would anyone want to try pro clubs? It's the thing where you create a player and start a team with a bunch of friends and their created players and then take on other people's teams. I've never done it and I doubt we'd be a super dedicated/regularly playing team but it's supposed to be pretty fun.

My only problem with that is it takes Lahm off full chem, I like to keep everyone on 9/10, also him and Benatia are both H/H which combined with Alaba's H/M and Alves' H/L means your defense might get caught out a lot, even if it is 5atb. Personally I'd just throw Sokratis in there, he looks great.

Can't really go wrong with either, personally I'd go James for symmetry since he has the same workrate as Kroos and that nice left foot, so both would be a threat to cut inside and score.

Also, personal preference but I'd put Sokratis at RCB and Piszczek at RB just because of Dante's pace and Alves' H/L (which makes him play like a winger)

what squad you using? As a rule your CBs should be like 75+ pace or you'll get burned by pace. And yeah you can play offside trap but i wouldn't recommend it, better to just have your defenders sit back for them. If guys are spamming through balls to fast players all game, park the bus + counter attack is really effective

Yeah, the CBs I was using last night are really slow: Alvaro Dominguez Soto (57) and Martin Stranzl (58). I've focused my speed more up front, but I guess that needs to change.

As an aside, I got one of the black Stranzl cards. All things equal, am I better off with say and 80 black card or normal 81 gold card. Or does this really matter?

Thanks for the help - I was feeling like I was making progress, but was trying out a new squad and got burned last night.

The In-Forms (black cards) are really rare, a new batch of them comes out every week as the team of the week and you were lucky to get one in a pack. A good one will sell in the hundreds of thousands, unfortunately you got one of the discard guys, basically meaning that even though his stats are upgraded he's still not good enough to warrant high demand. An 80 rated IF usually has better in game stats than an 81 gold card, though EA never says what his actual rating is (There's a guy on futhead who figures it out every week by plugging the in-game stats into create-a-player, this guy in particular has an actual in-game rating of 82).

Luckily though you can quicksell an inform for around 9k, which means even the worst ones will always sell. This guy in particular sells for about 11k ( http://www.futhead.com/15/players/40204/martin-stranzl/ ) so you should probably just sell him and build a squad with the profits. The French, Portugese, Turkish and Russian Leagues are all great for making cheap, effective starter teams, there are some hidden gems in there.

This is really my first year dedicating a lot of time to FUT, largely due to some of the discussion on this thread. It's been a blast this far.

I've built my team largely buy purchasing cards as opposed to packs, and I've built a Spanish/La Liga squad.

I guess my question is once you've gotten to the point where you have a solid core, do you start buying packs in the hopes of pulling a big name and flipping for profit? Obviously I'd love to add a Bale or Ronaldo, but can't see myself ever stacking enough coins to do so.

As a rule you should never buy packs with coins. Whether you do it with money or not obviously depends on you, but the odds of breaking even with coins are stacked against you. I've done it out of temptation/boredom and pretty much always regretted it. They don't release the odds of getting Messi or Ronaldo, but it's essentially akin to buying a lottery ticket.

There are some ways to make comfortable profit, one I like is to stake out a kit that is reasonably popular. I find with Netherlands kits you can snag them at auction for 150/200 and sell them with a 550/600 by-now. You can do the same with consumables, which give less profit but have the advantage that you can store up to 1000 of them at a time. Another method is in-form speculating, which is trickier, but basically if a player has a big game on Saturday or Sunday you buy up a bunch of his cards immediately, then sell them the Tuesday night before the team of the week comes out. It's a better way to make big profit but I don't mess with it too much mainly because the in-form market is confusing and I'd rather do other things on the weekend.

That's interesting. So if a player is named to the TOW and you have their card, do they become a black TOW card? Or do they just receive a boost in ratings? How does that work?

No, they stay as a regular card, but for the week starting on Wednesday at 1:30 his regular card goes out of packs (replaced by the upgraded card), in addition to having higher visibility, which drives up demand. Packs are how EA supplies the market, so when the supply gets cut the demand rises. For some reason (I'm pretty sure this is true but don't quote me on it) this demand hits a peak right when the TOTW is actually announced, which I think happens on Tuesday night, and then the regular card's price slowly decreases during the week. Anyway I'm pretty sure that if Welbeck gets a hat-trick this weekend and you buy 10 of his cards within 5 minutes of him netting the 3rd goal, you can sell them at profit a few days later (though it works better with obscurer players who end up in the TOTW, since everyone will be watching the Arsenal game and get that idea while less people will know to jump on the left-back from Wolfsburg).

Also, on the off-chance that you pull an in-form in a pack, you should know that the price is at an all-time high right when the card comes out on Wednesday. So if you get him between Wednesday and like Sunday, even if it's a guy you really want to use, you should sell him ASAP because his price is going to drop significantly by the end of the week. Weirdly though, if you get him on Monday or Tuesday, you should actually hold onto him because the price actually jumps up a little on the last day of the TOTW.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. My other question is about chemistry cards. Obviously different cards impact different attributed to different degrees, but it doesn't seem like they actually tell you how much they bump up a player's attributed or overall rating.

So what's the rule of thumb? One point for every chevron for that attribute? That's kind of what I've been assuming.

I was just doing some reading. It looks like it is one point for every green chevron. And the chevrons go from white to green based on that player's chemistry. So if they have a 10, all 6 chevrons will be green. If they have a 9, 5 will be green, 1 will be white, etc. another reason to try and shoot for all 10's.

Two things to add:

If you're still on the fence about adding James Rodriguez, get off the fence. I picked him up last night, and without hyperbole, he's changed my entire team. I gave him the hunter chemistry style to increase his pace and shooting. It's also allowed me to move Isco to a normal CM instead of the CAM, which seems like a role he's much better at.

James' skill on the ball with dribbling and passing combined with the fact that he can actually score on his own is the definition of CAM and something my team was sorely lacking.

The other is I've tried several times to replace David Villa with other players. Rodrigo and Chicarito are younger and faster. Torres is a shittier Villa. I always come back to him. For some reason, he just always finds the net. It's uncanny. He's my Doumbia.
