That's awesome. I was on the fence regarding who my third midfielder would be to go along with Isco and Rodriquez. Right now I have Busquetes, but I was on the fence between Fabregas or Kroos.

I'm also going to keep Busquetes and Khedira on my bench as defensive substitutes should I have to protect a lead.

Or possibly go with Kroos, Rodriquez and Busquetes and move Isco to the bench.

Okay I'm putting the in-form speculation method to the test, I just bought 10 Mullers at 16.5k each, gonna try and sell them on Tuesday and report back. The game ended a little while ago though, his price has already jumped up by a few thousand so I don't know how much profit there is to be made

edit- yeah okay I don't think I did that correctly, his prices are already trending down hard. I got scared and just sold them all. I think this only works if you get the guy before he goes off or while the game is still on

Made some updates and I'm having success with this 4-5-1

Chicarito

Muniain/james/Kroos/Isco/Jesus Navas

Coentrao/Pepe/Pique/Carvajal

Like Zomp said previously, Kroos as the distributor is really effective. He's able to play through balls all over the pitch.

I've also recently changed my camera setting to co-op. It's a higher angle and really helps in the midfield passing game.

I've come to the conclusion that the possession game is criminally underrated in the marketplace.

Everyone is looking for pace and paying high prices for it. A guy like David Silva, an 87, goes for under 25K. A guy like Kroos goes for like 15K.

The possession game requires more patience and skill, but it's proven to be a lot more effective for me, and again, I feel like you can exploit the market getting highly rated possession players for cheaper than sprinters.

Possession is a way of life.

This is true, I went 7-0-1 in d4, barely held d3 my first try, and now started 0-0-3. Sweaty tactics everywhere, so many Ibarbo Serie A teams/Remy EPL teams, park the bus/counter attack and whatnot. But mainly I'm getting shredded because everyone knows how to dribble and I suck at it. I've always played with one-touch passing all up and down the field, but now the game's about taking guys one on one with skill moves and shoulder button dribbling and I'm just not that guy.

After picking up James, I had about 100,000 coins left over, and I was thinking about getting Alexis Sanchez for my Premier League squad. I didn't have much time to think about it, because there was one available with about 45 seconds left at 86,000 coins. But it's a weird one. These are his stats:

PAC: 99
SHO: 93
PAS: 86
DRI: 98
DEF: 49
PHY: 78

He also had 99 contracts.

Is this some kind of glitch or what? I haven't had a chance yet to test him out.

Our squads sound pretty similar. I've used Rodrigo, but I've been having a lot of success with Chicarito with the Hawk chemistry style. The front Diamond of Chicarito-James-Isco-Kroos has great chemistry and Chicarito is a dynamic finisher.

That Sanchez card is almost certainly a card that someone applied an attribute booster to when they sold it. If there is a bar over his rating and little white arrows pointing up on his ratings, that's what it is. If not, you definitely got some sort of bogey.

I was using Jese as well, but apart from his pace, he's fairly useless. I went with Muniain who has better pace and much better dribbling on the ball. He's been pretty effective for me.

Don't see why not...PS4 is always recording what you're doing, so you should be able to go back after the game and trim/share the clip. Trimming it on the PS4 is easy, but getting it into this thread was surprisingly bitchy. The PS4 will share it out to Facebook (I'd recommend making a custom group to share with so you don't put all your FIFA stuff on public Facebook), but from there it's annoying. I googled "download Facebook video" and went to a website that has you copy/paste all of the source code from the video page on Facebook, and then it goes through and finds the URL that hosts it. Works well but definitely an extra step.

Totally random, but watching the clip from last year reminded me of it. Is anyone else slightly (very very slightly) annoyed by the fact that the goal itself lifts off the ground EVERY time you score in FIFA 15? It's a really weird choice for them to make.

From what I've read online, the release of the 15K and 35K promo gold packs is EA's way of trying to regulate the market and drive prices down to combat people that buy and sell coins.

I bought a few of the 15K packs but didn't pack anybody of any real quality.

If they really wanted people to stop buying coins they'd make the packs worth the money. The promo packs don't combat coin-buyers, they just make more money off the people who don't buy coins in the first place.

Just hit the Share button on your controller, and you can go through and see everything you did. It cuts it up into ten second increments so you just find where you wanna start it and mark in, find the end and mark out, and you're done.

The most infuriating is the kickoff goals right after I score. Literally just runs a straight line straight through my defense and puts in a goal. Zero skill zero effort. Much rage.

I read a post somewhere from a dude who came up against a guy who played Kyle Walker at CAM

Speaking of sweat, they just put out an in-form left-back who has 93 pace...and 30 defending. http://www.futhead.com/15/players/40345/frank-acheampong/ his in-game rating at LB is 49.

Places I've been reading are saying a market crash in December is imminent with the TOTY coming out, and since I have Assassins Creed/Far Cry/finals to occupy that time I think I'm gonna sell everyone and roll with these 30k squads on rotation. They work great for fitness/starter squads.

First one is shamelessly sweaty, but Berba is a lot of fun and his low/low workrate provides the authentic experience. You can throw it together for roughly discard price without Lucas (who you don't need at all to be honest, I just like him)/the IF. Second one has some gems, Boussawhatever is 5* skills, Costa is a long shot/free kick master, and Elm has the giant throw in trait. You can build that one for like 10k if you use regular Rondon and Musa up front (~16k if you're a bad enough dude to use Musa/Doumbia, I've been down that road though and the shame is hard to wash away).

It's hard to quantify. Generally you want all your guys on 9/10 individual chemistry; just because the overall says 100, doesn't mean you have a full-chem squad, since you have to take the individual scores into account. One guy on 7 won't kill you, but you'll probably notice him screwing up more often than others. A lot of players this year will take a guy like Reus, give him a left-forward card and play him on 7 chem at striker, and they say his ability to impact the game from that position makes up for the loss in chem since he can't be as much of an asset from the LM/LW position (and because his stats are far better than actual bundesliga strikers). You generally shouldn't do that unless the player is good enough to justify the hit.

Of course none of this really matters if you're winning. I swept d10 with a 40 chem bronze team. But once you hit the hard divisions you need every edge you can get.

Haven't sniffed a win in a while. So tired of dudes just literally sprinting through my defenders for easy goals.

About 10 days ago, I pulled a Courtois from a pack. My team is all BBVA, so I tried to rebuild the back half of my team around him, but it would have been too many moving pieces to accommodate one guy. Sold him off for over 90K and got Benzema and Casillas instead.

I keep going back and forth between formations. I've been using Khedira as my CDM largely because I just want another body in the middle to deter guys from sprinting down my throat. It's been largely unsuccessful. What I'm using now:

Benzema/Chicarito
James
Modric/Kroos
Khedira
Alba/Pique/Pepe/Caravajal
Casillas

So I haven't played any of the EA sports games since these features about cards and your own team came out. You guys seem to love it and my buddy loves the Madden one, I had assumed it was a totally cynical attempt to bring micro transactions to a paid for game, which strikes me as some fucking bullshit.

Am I wrong and you don't need to spend or it's just so great you spend anyway or I guess third option it's ok but you all have mental issues which prevent you from being able to avoid spending money on a game you already paid for.

You can organically grow your team strictly through playing matches, tourneys, etc. It all depends on your level of patience. Packs are widely seen as a money suck. You rarely, if ever, pull anyone of major significance, and if you do, the odds of them jiving with your squad (see my previous post about Courtois) are slim.

I'm at the point now where my team is built to the point where any sort of upgrade from me will cost me into the hundreds of thousands of coins. I can marginally upgarde with guys like Marcelo, which I did last night. But to see any type of real impact, a Bale goes for 700-800K, Ronaldo goes for like 7 million, etc. etc. Really elite guys are basically way out of my price range, and I'm stuggling against BPL sprinters. Pace is king in FUT. Players with pace are valued highly because you can take a Ramos or a Ibarbo and literally just run by most defenders.

I'm desperately clinging to my team, but I know changes are going to have to be made for me to advance further than where I am now.

I've moved away from Pique and used Varane a few times and he had the same pace as Miranda. Still feels like he's in slow motion when a striker has a full head of steam and blows right by him.

Try a hybrid then, bbva isn't great for defense/goalkeeping (Casillas is too short)

Nope. I've been co-oping with my friend and ripping shit up...mostly. The last-minute AI in this year's game is sooooooo stupid. You can bet with 100% certainty that they WILL send in an absolutely perfect ball as a last-ditch effort and at least one of your AI defenders WILL be out of position. It's like a crapshoot every game as to whether you can hold a one goal lead in the closing minutes. You HAVE to play keep-away with the ball or they WILL get a good scoring chance.
