Or just call nothing. If Timonen pushed Pouliot into Mason, the Flyers shouldn't benefit by having the play blown dead while the Rangers are pressuring. The Napkin said:I'm not sure I like this move to automatically call goalie interference even if you're pushed in. What happened to just blowing the play dead and no penalty?

Hey man, they did offer sheet Shea Weber.PedroSpecialK said:I don't understand Philly's forwards' attitude defensively. Down a goal in a game 7 and everyone's doing fly-bys in the defensive zone.
And as I type it...
I'm pretty sure it deflected off a defender's stick and went high.johnmd20 said:
Colossal choke on that shot.

And what? Are you implying they missed on that one?PedroSpecialK said:
True - after they drafted Couturier over Dougie Hamilton and Jonas Brodin
Couturier isn't terrible. He's not as good as Dougie or Brodin but....man, how excited were we when Hamilton fell in our laps? At least we know Chiarelli isn't an idiot. But yeah. Holmgren is brutal. Trading for MacDonald and trading away Meszaros? I'm not sure he really upgraded on that. Their blue line on the whole is just embarrassing. Hopefully, the forwards can take over in the third because, as much as I hate the Flyers, I do want to see this Pennsylvania series.PedroSpecialK said:

Oh, a front office discussion. I'm in therapy over that. Still, I have a hard time criticizing that choice. Couturier will play a long time in this league, and it's hardly clear that Hamilton is much better. Your position of need thing rings true, but on a long-term, organization-wide level. And I'm not upset they traded JVR, but that they accepted only Schenn in return. Yeah, Homer needs to retire.PedroSpecialK said:
Not at all - only that they didn't draft to fill a glaring need, and that the Bruins benefitted greatly from them passing on Hamilton. If anything, the bigger gaffe was Winnipeg drafting Mark Scheifele at #7 when he was projected to go mid-1st.
Had the Flyers drafted Hamilton, they could have kept JVR as Schenn would have been unnecessary. IMO a core including Hamilton/JVR is much better long-term than one with Luke Schenn/Couturier
