This is quality work. For Sale, baseball glove, never worn
Rise of the Machines. Never should have beat up that innocent television.Waiting to hear it was an indoor exercise bike
Entirely unacceptable. You get paid 30m per year to play a sport professionally. Why was he riding a bike with his hand injury?
You can't ride a bike with a broken pinky? Jesus, I get that he's gotten hurt over and over again, but that's not a personality defect.Entirely unacceptable. You get paid 30m per year to play a sport professionally.
Your hand is hurt.. a very necessary thing to ride a bike competently.
You go and ride a bike and and break your wrist.
Selfish. Predictable. Stupid. Hard to like anything about Sale at this point.
Thanks for 2018.
Don't we all know how to ride bikes? You could cut off both pinkies entirely and still brake just fine. I've ridden with a broken hand, it's not that hard. Shit happens. He doesn't live in a plastic bubble.Entirely unacceptable. You get paid 30m per year to play a sport professionally.

Entering Matt Clement territory in terms of FA deals.48 innings pitched in two years. Nice work if you can get it. $60 million dollars for that.
From theCome Sale away, come Sale away, come Sale away with me
/falls off bike
You really think this is the case? They'll pay out his entire contract to not pitch for them rather than at least seeing what he can give next season (although I do acknowledge there is a seemingly considerable chance he has another injury before next season). Not like the Sox are rolling in SP options next season either. I think the only chance he doesn't start next season for the Sox is if they trade him and heavily subsidize the remaining contract. But I doubt they even do that, given how low his value is and I doubt they can get a decent return even with a subsidy.I'm not even mad about this, this is hilarious.
Are we SURE he doesn't have brittle bone syndrome?
In any case, he'll be DL'd and there's an excellent chance they'll just cut him after the season.
Leisurely, sure. But what kind of bike riding are you doing that is so intense that you break a wrist? Admittedly I don't ride a lot but the only times I've ever fallen were when I had too much speed and couldn't control my breaking properly OR when I was first learning clipless pedals which was really scary at first. You can't ride a bike with a broken pinky? I'm not mad either. It's just ridiculous at this point. I just want him ready for next season. I don't think he will be cut. Because if he ever does get healthy, he'll be an asset for them.I'm not even mad about this, this is hilarious.

Sale opted out of the Lonborg language. It was good for the team, too.Good news is that it wasn't his pitching hand.
Any chance that DD put in some Lonborg language when they extended his contract?
There's no doubt that the Sale deal is far worse but Pavano signed that deal in 2005 so the finances were far different back then.Carl Pavano signed a 4/40 deal with NY and only pitched 145 innings.
Chris Sale signed a 5/145 deal with BOS and is at 48 innings three years in.
Not that I'm exactly sure what to make of Sale's latest injury but those of us who know how to ride bikes without our pinkies also don't fall and break our wrists.Don't we all know how to ride bikes? You could cut off both pinkies entirely and still brake just fine. I've ridden with a broken hand, it's not that hard. Shit happens. He doesn't live in a plastic bubble.
And that guy didn't break any bones.
That might have gotten them salary relief.Piling on, but at this point I'm just relieved that he only fell off the bike and didn't get run over by a Mack Truck.
Duran was spotted on the grassy knoll. The bike accident occurred when some clown on the sidewalk threw a bottle cap at him
Is it really? You mean to say that people cannot ride bikes competently when their pinky finger is broken? Do you know for sure that the accident is attributable to Sale not being able to control his bike due to that injured finger? If so, please post a link. Thank you.Entirely unacceptable. He certainly wasn't wearing Lance Armstrong's; unlike Lance, Sale hates getting shots. Was he wearing a throwback Tour de France jersey?
Different sport, but after Aaron Hernandez I refuse to believe you can ever get salary relief - especially in baseball. That might have gotten them salary relief.
