His profile page on sox prospects is wild
Career Notes: Lengthy injury history: broke his femur playing football in high school and had knee surgery, fractured a vertebra as a senior lifting weights, had Tommy John surgery as a freshman in college and a related elbow scope during his second minor league season, and labrum surgery during his third. While rehabbing in Fort Myers following the shoulder surgery in 2015, was hit by a car while on a bicycle and broke a bone in his back. Was suspended for 50 games in 2015 after testing positive for marijuana. Retired in November 2017 and became a carpenter. Spent two-and-a-half years installing ceilings before becoming a coach at a Washington training facility in 2020, where he realized he could still throw in the upper 90s without pain, leading him to attempt a comeback. Threw an inning for a semi-pro team in Seattle and was signed by the independent Chicago Dogs (managed at the time by Butch Hobson) in 2021. Garnered interest from teams, but was still under contract with the Twins and could not sign with another organization until he was released. Was finally released in 2022 and almost immediately signed with Arizona. Signed with the Red Sox as a minor league free agent in February 2023. Re-
signed before reaching free agency in October 2023.

What an excellent route to the show. He looked really good in ST and I remember Cora being pretty effusive about him. Better than Jacques!

With the acquisition of Gutierrez, it doesn't look like Booser is getting the call after all. Or if he is, it will require another 40-man move to clear space.

Gutierrez was optioned. They will need a move for Booser, but they've been tight-lipped about Walter and Mata's status so my guess is one of them moves to the 60 day.

I like these stories but the Sox look like a hot mess with all these injuries and apparent lack of quality players.

Maybe this guy will be a bright spot.

Maybe he could build a nice wooden box into which Hamilton's gloves and spikes could be hidden.

Busted for weed? Huh? Let the man chill. He should have been starting tomorrow; 4/20.

I'm all about a "feel good" story in a season of bad ones. Let's go Cam!

Jacques DFA'd to make room for Booser / Cotillo
Of all the expendable crewmembers over the last couple of years, he is the one who seemed the most consistently ineffective, and was worse than that during ST.

No, but he only threw 7 pitches because 3 of his 4 batters swung at the first pitch. He threw 4 cutters between 87 and 90, and 3 four-seamers just under 96.

The Sox finding guys like Booser is a good sign of the team being thorough in its approach to scouring for pitching talent.
