Is there any good live coverage that is streamable from work? Didn't TSN used to let you watch live on deadline day? I went there and it asked me to sign in with a Canadian cable provider.

Hopefully, but I doubt it. He's either going to Providence or having his hearing for the Paquette hit. I guess Talbot just left the ice too. Ah, intrigue. Talbot and Shithead can share an uber to the Dunk.

A league source tells me the Bruins are shopping Loui Eriksson hard. Asking price seems to be A-prospect defenseman and a second.

#CBJ rookie F Kerby Rychel was walking out of Madison Square Garden as I walked in. This is not an optional skate today.
There's a guy I'd love to see added... not sure why Columbus would move him though.

Side note - if the B's are going for a rental on the blue line, I'd love to see them go after Tyutin. He shouldn't cost more than a 3rd and has been improved this year possession-wise.

At the very least, IMO he's better than Kris Russell & Dan Hamhuis and should come cheaper.

I can't imagine taking on that contract for the next 2 years.

Supposedly Rinaldo canceled his autograph signing in RI tonight, which leads me to a couple questions. Would someone actually claim Rinaldo off waivers? And are there really people out there that would pay for Rinaldo's autograph?

Yikes, thought he was unrestricted after this year, my mistake.

$4.5m for 2 more years ain't great, but it's still better than the prospect of giving Russell 6 years, $33m as Custance is implying. Not that the B's should assume that commitment in a vacuum, but there are worse propositions out there.

edit: Fake report out right now saying Yakupov is going to the Habs.

I agree, that number for Russell is absurd and given the choice, I'd go with Tyutin all day. I wouldn't mind taking on both older guys from CBJ if they would retain some cap but I doubt that happens. I don't know of a trade deadline when I've been more conflicted about what I want to happen.

I'll pay.
I honestly want to keep Talbot around, even as a healthy scratch. This team needs leadership and he's one guy who can provide it. He does have an intangible value, especially with Kelly out the rest of the year.

I would be very disappointed to see them give up anything of value for someone like Russell.
I've seen him described as "Kevan Miller in disguise." Unless his disguise is that of a serviceable NHL defenseman, no thank you.

Thank you.

The graphic they just showed had the Bruins and Ducks (alphabetical) next to each other they needed a Left Shooting Winger and we needed a defender. I know some in here had mentioned them early as a possible partner but there hasn't been anything beyond that. Don't they have a glut of young, high upside defensemen that we are looking for?

Yeah, Anaheim is an ideal partner. They've got young D, could probably use a guy like Loui. Seems like a good fit. They have non-roster D that would be of interest to the Bruins too, so they wouldn't have to subtract from the current roster that's been on fire since Christmas.

Rinaldo has been sent down to Providence.

Under this category: Eric Staal goes for 2 2nds and a prospect. Brett Connolly went last year for 2 2nds.
Are you saying 2nds aren't worth much anymore? Neither has been much to write home about this year.
Side note I can't believe Eric Staal is only 31. Feel like he has been in the league for 15yrs. He will probably be out of the league by 35.

The difference being that Staal had a NMC and would only waive for the Rangers, costs $9mil a year, has 2 months of control and has less goals than Connolly did last year. This one is not apples to apples.

Keep hearing Jamie McGinn linked to #Bruins. Also, #Isles and#Blues. #TradeCentre #TradeDeadline

Looks like the Bruins almost certainly are not linked to McGinn, though I like him.

Can we involve their idol, KPD, somehow? Any time you can eliminate three sources of suck at once, it's a win for everyone.

Also, it's a creepy kind of silent all over the twitterverse. I suspect this one will explode at around 1:30 or so and won't stop until 4.

I have a staff meeting at 2pm, I was really hoping for an early rush. Nothing ever works out!

NHL Network trade show on top of things.
They are listing players "In Play?" Name they just flashed was Chris Kelly. Pretty sure he isn't going to be moved today.

Doesn't sound like AZ is getting much for Boeddker, couple B prospects (Bleackley and Wood) plus Tanguay to make the salaries work. wonder what that means for Loui's market.
