Cruz also pitched a scoreless 6th. Then for some reason they tried to pitch him in the 7th, & then bring in Jhonny Felix who isn't very good at pitching. 6 runs later, Salem is losing 7-3.

Yup. It can be hit hard, but you don't slap & pull at the same time.

Also not sure why Perales is still in to allow a 2 run single on his 93rd pitch when he obviously doesn't have his best stuff today.

Perales should have been done after 4 innings & 3 runs, but his final line was...

4.2 innings, 6 hits, 6 runs, 5 earned, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts.

Spot starting for Lamet, Rio has thrown 5 innings, allowing 1, run on 5 hits, 1 walk & 4 strikeouts. He's lowered his ERA with Worcester to 3.89.

He's only thrown 70 pitches, but since it's a spot start I assume he's done.

Denlinger was good with Portland, went to Worcester & sucked, & has continued to pitch poorly since being sent back to Portland.

Walk, single, 5-1, still no outs.

Lost 8-1 in 10 innings.

Meidroth & Blaze were both 2-4 with a walk.

Yorke was 1-4 with a double & am HBP.

Matthew Lugo was 2-5.

Aaron Perry did pitch 2.1 innings & only allow 1 run of his own, lowering his ERA to 10.19.

Alexis Hernandez was 2-5 with a double & the game winning RBI.

Every other Salem starter had exactly 1 hit except Romero who had a walk.

Luis Ravelo was 1-2 with 2 walks.

Yorberto Mejicano was 1-3 with 3 RBIs.

Railin Perez pitched the 9th & 10th hitless got the win, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts & just the Manfred Man scoring (unearned run).
