The day didn't get any better for Portland pitchers.

Ryan Miller allowed 2 runs in 1 inning.

Theo Denlinger allowed 1 run in 1 inning.

Alex Hoppe allowed 3 runs in 0.2 innings.

On the bright side Luis Guerrero got his only batter out so far?

AJ Politi had a bit of an adventure in the 9th, starting the inning lineout/walk/walk. But he struck out the last 2 hitters to end the inning & we're on to the 10th.

Tyler Miller hit his 2nd triple of the season (& of the game) to cut the deficit to 9-5 in the 8th.

Unlikely hitting hero Caleb Hamilton got an RBI single in the 10th, with a second run scoring on some bad defense, allowing Caleb to get to 3rd.

Guerrero also pitched a 1-2-3 8th with a strikeout to lower his ERA to 1.85.

Portland lost 9-4.

Homers by Yorke (solo) & Blaze (3-run) provided all the scoring.

Rosier was 2-5 with his 39th steal.

Tyler McDonough was 2-4.

Booser went strikeout/fly out/strikeout to end the game.

Worcester won 6-3 in 10 innings.

C Note had the most important hit of the game, but was 1-5 with that homer & a strikeout.

CHamilton was 2-4 with a homer.

Blizzard was 1-4 with a homer (13), a walk & his 41st steal.

Story was 1-4 with a double.

Dalbec was 1-4 with 2 steals (14).

Politi gets the win to run his record to 7-3.

Greenville lost 9-5.

Somewhat alarming game from Roman...0-5 with 4 strikeouts.

On the good side...

Tyler Miller 3-3 with a homer, 2 triples, an HBP & 4 RBI.

Brainer Bonaci 3-4 with a double & 2 runs.

Bryan Gonzalez 1-3 with a HBP & 2 runs.
