Different perspective on the team is a good thing. (I lean towards JB's take, but I think they all see the learning value.)
“It’s also healthy to get a loss here and there like, ‘Here we go. Let’s recalibrate a little bit and have that attention to detail again,’ " Porzingis said. “So, I think it’s completely fine and I think it’s necessary to keep building.”
Tatum and Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla shared similar sentiments, but forward Jaylen Brown seemed to find the result more disturbing.

“Everybody’s going to have their own perspective on it,” Brown said. “Mine is that that’s what happens when you don’t match the gas and take little things for granted throughout the game and let a team stick around.”
Brown said the Celtics did not match Cleveland’s physicality, did not space the floor on offense as well as they have most of the season, and simply did not execute when needed. He was not ready to brush it under the rug.
“Today matters,” Brown said. “Whether everybody wants to throw it away or not, we’ve got to look at the film and address some stuff, because that matters. Your habits are everything, your mentality is everything.”

Little bit of both, combined with Cleveland’s scrubs going supernova from deep.
Thanks. I just watched the 8 4th quarter misses:
1) Tatum comes around a pick for a wide open pull-up look. Good look, rimmed out.
2) Al catch and shoot from the corner, rimmed out. Good look.
3) Jrue pull up from the top of the arc, poor decision.
4) Al catch and shoot from the corner, but he had to make kind of a side-step. Only 3 seconds left on the shot clock here so he was kind of forced into it / rushed it. Not a great look.
5) KP catch and shoot from about 31'. Clean look, kind of deep, but one he has buried a ton this year.
6) Tatum catch and shoot after setting a pick for White. Pretty damn open and it rimmed out. Good look.
7) Jrue catch and shoot after setting a screen for JB. From the wing. Pretty good look.
8) KP catch and shoot from the wing. Decent look.

For me it’s more the 11-12 by the Cavs. Yeah, Cs went cold, but they hang on if the Cavs shoot even 70%.

Logic would actually dictate that since Porzingis tipped the ball and it was already in the basket at 0.7 that it was not at zero when he touched it. There is no argument I can see from the facts that the Celtics did not have possession there, nor any rule that would lead to that outcome.
This is completely wrong, the ball was barely hitting the rim when the clock stopped at .7, after that it bounced up, then hit the rim again before zinger touched it.

No, it's not wrong---rewatch the replay and observe where the clock is after Porzingis taps it back in. You'll see, if you are looking, it is at precisely .7, just as I said.

I went through why that is in the refs thread in the basketball forum.

You guys are arguing different things.

It is a fact that KP touched the ball at 0.7 seconds.

It is also a fact that the clock stopped WELL before KP touched the ball.

Yes---I laid out the sequence and the questions (like what to make of the above) in the Ref thread in the basketball forum.

They hang on if either Boston doesn't shoot below the Mendoza line, and Cleveland doesn't collectively shoot like peak Steph.

I think what we're all saying in different ways is that if the Cs played at full defensive intensity while running their normal offense neither of those things happen, but even with Boston mailing it in it took 99th percentile ball luck for Cleveland.
