The guys on the MLB.tv draft show like Riemer a lot, even though he is off board.

Also said that Campbell is probably destined for OF but was the "best of the Georgia college bats"

Riemer is actually ranked pretty close to that slot by a handful of sources (not BA). Seems like not a throwaway.

In 48 PAs before his injury Reimer had 15 walks & 2 strikeouts.

I'm impressed by how Mayo and Callis can sound intelligent speaking about every one of these guys on a moment's notice.

That fits their style. Bannon was the ninth round over slot last year.

For his career, 48 BB and 14 K, 324/474/472. Can't have too many Chase Meidroths?
Especially if you can draft them all underslot as a nice bonus.

An example of overslot later on is Brooks Brannon in the 9th round last year. They were able to pay him $712,500 by paying their 7th, 8th & 10th round picks $7,500 each (& 2 of those 3 guys seem like they might be legit arms).

Callis says Rose most likely plays CF. Average was .326 last year. Had a 1.000 fielding percentage in center on 105 putouts in 2023.

Yep. Under slot is what I expect. Not the massive senior deal but I’d assume a decent discount.

The Nats have taken 4 college seniors already - are Morales and Sykora going to eat up all that savings, or will they have room to go over on a kid who slipped to the 9th or 10th round?

If you go to the MLB.com draft tracker you can sort by undrafted on the top 250
#42 Cameron Johnson - 6'5 lefty who throws mid 90s, committed to LSU

#44 Roch Cholowsky - SS committed to UCLA

Then a jump to #70.

I like the idea of drafting Bobby Witt Jr's cousin (but not really, because Kevin Witt isn't Bobby Witt's brother).
