Meh, they have a day off, are going on the road and haven't decided on a Game 3 starter vs Nola.
Yeah, but he likes to pitch in warm weather. It was pretty warm last week in Philly (80s), but it's gotten chilly here (50s/60s).

Also, my brother and his son have tickets to Wednesday's game, and it would have been cool for them to get a chance to see them win a clincher.

I really hate this continuing narrative about the teams with the best records being beaten, as if that's bad for baseball. How about the "best" teams sucking it up and winning.
It’s also insulting to teams that have the nuts to build for the playoffs. Consistent hitters who aren’t pieces of shit in the spotlight, defense, three good starters and a good bullpen.

You'd think they would have gotten used to it after all the MFY playoff failures.

The play Correa made last week to cut Bichette down at the plate was a little bit better than Riley on this one.

But both were better than Jeter's flip. And miles better than (but not nearly as fun as) Jeter running face first into the Fenway seats for no reason.
Didn't happen in Fenway. But otherwise, yes.

That Austin Riley play to close the game is exactly what you hope to do with the game on the line. That was incredible.

Especially since he had to be at third before the catch, since Harper was coming that way
The view of the whole play from behind him was awesome. You see the moment he goes from trying to call for the throw to first to, "I need to be the one who makes this play", and it's just spectacular. Like, it's the kind of play that should be shown to kids learning to play the game.

Is this going to be a replay of the first game tonight? The visitors score all their runs early and the home team overtakes them at the end?

I'm always amazed when great hitters get fooled like that.
Not the hitters on the Red Sox, mind you

I hate the ump cam that Apple TV and Peacock use in real time, but I also love it because it shows just how impossible it should be to hit a baseball thrown from these pitchers.

In my opinion, hitting a pitch in the Major Leagues is the closest thing we have on this planet to a super power.
