Then he would destroy and dominate golf and it would be boring. If only DJ could make putts regularly.
absolutely, potential tournament-winning saves.Koepka with big saves on the last 2, kind of a miracle toonly go +1 on the last 2 with as miserable tee shots as he hit on both
And now another bad tee shot.Koepka with big saves on the last 2, kind of a miracle toonly go +1 on the last 2 with as miserable tee shots as he hit on both
Yup. The 16th is the only reasonable birdie hole left, so that was a must make for Reed.Oh Berger. SO CLOSE.
And now Reed is back in action.
12 of 14 greens in regulation, too.DJ could actually equal his 38 putts from yesterday. That's the most he's had in a round in his career, and he could do it two days in a row. How many 3 putts does he have? He's only got one one putt, I believe.
A birdie-bogey-bogey finish for Koepka wouldn't surprise me.If Koepka makes a birdie coming in it's done.
That's certainly fair to say.If Koepka makes a birdie coming in it's done.
I tent to agree. And I think he just did it.If Koepka makes a birdie coming in it's done.
It was pretty exciting from the moment Fleetwood went on the run. And then Brooks hit every single putt every struck in the history of golf and the drama died, hard. But until he nailed that last birdie, it was pretty compelling.Definitely not as exciting a Sunday as I had hoped for, but it sure beat last year's. British at Carnoustie should be fun.
Birdie birdie for Finau is impossible.Looks like we need Koepka to bogey 18 and Finau to finish birdie-birdie for a tie. (Or a Koepka double at 18.)
You didn't think this year was watchable? I think it was a gorgeous, fun, and compelling 4 days, even if the drama died at the end.Hopefully the USGA doesn't screw up Pebble this bad next year and we get a watchable Open.
I meant exactly what I said. You should speak for yourself.Someone shooting a +1 on the back nine to win the US Open seems like it would be extremely appropriate. It’s the US Open it’s supposed to be hard.
I think you need to qualify that statement with something like....
“the guy who shoots a +1 from there because his good shots don’t randomly incur as much bad luck as everyone else’s good shots probably wins. Not exactly what you want to see.”
Random luck is bad. A hard, but fair US open course is awesome
Yeah, absolutely. You didn't think this year was watchable? I think it was a gorgeous, fun, and compelling 4 days, even if the drama died at the end.
