If only DJ could make putts regularly.
Then he would destroy and dominate golf and it would be boring.
Brooks is a pain in the ass. He HATES drama.
That was pretty clutch for Koepka.
Berger's tee shot on 11 was better than anything we've seen. He is feeling it.
Koepka with a nightmare tee shot after that save. Missed the fairway badly with an iron.
Finau and Berger with darts on 11, I guess it isn't that hard afterall. Koepka stariing at another bogey potential on 12
Koepka is nails.
Koepka with big saves on the last 2, kind of a miracle toonly go +1 on the last 2 with as miserable tee shots as he hit on both
absolutely, potential tournament-winning saves.
And now another bad tee shot.
Flip side of those great saves was that he put himself in position where he needed to make them. If he keeps doing that, he'll get bit in the ass.
And Koepka finds the nasty shit again off the tee. Fucking Fleetwood is going to win this. I'm just hoping we can somehow get a playoff out of it.
Oh Berger. SO CLOSE.
And now Reed is back in action.
Yup. The 16th is the only reasonable birdie hole left, so that was a must make for Reed.
And now we cut to Gay, +11, 9 shots off the lead, and we'll watch him line up his putt.
DJ may be cooked if he doesn't two-putt from way the eff back there.
Koepka is definitely nails. He's the Terminator on the greens. But we'll see if he can hold on, he's shaky.
DJ: Not the Terminator
Good night DJ. Koepka is breaking him on the greens.
DJ could actually equal his 38 putts from yesterday. That's the most he's had in a round in his career, and he could do it two days in a row. How many 3 putts does he have? He's only got one one putt, I believe.
12 of 14 greens in regulation, too.
A very poor short iron by Reed. He’s not making it easy.
Meanwhile Finau = alive.
Finally a clutch bird by DJ. Needs to go -1 on the last three to tie the score in the clubhouse. Which won't be enough if Koepka pars in.
Just jumping in to say this is pretty awesome.
5 guys finish at +2. COME ON BUFFALO WILD WINGS, make it happen.
If Koepka makes a birdie coming in it's done.
A birdie-bogey-bogey finish for Koepka wouldn't surprise me.
That's certainly fair to say.
Well, unless Koepka has two bogeys on the last two, this is very very over.
Yep that's ballgame.
I tent to agree. And I think he just did it.
Fleetwood obviously not watching
that might do it.
But Koepka, doe.
Worst. Major. Evah.
Definitely not as exciting a Sunday as I had hoped for, but it sure beat last year's. British at Carnoustie should be fun.
It was pretty exciting from the moment Fleetwood went on the run. And then Brooks hit every single putt every struck in the history of golf and the drama died, hard. But until he nailed that last birdie, it was pretty compelling.
But we had a chance at a 5 man playoffs and it wasn't an outlandish possibility. So to see him win by 2 or 3 sucks.
Koepka is nails right now. This was a great Sunday at a US open.
Seeing Fleetwood on the range there made me legitimately sad.
DJ, 10 feet short is unacceptable.
Looks like we need Koepka to bogey 18 and Finau to finish birdie-birdie for a tie. (Or a Koepka double at 18.)
Birdie birdie for Finau is impossible.
Brooks is just too good to make it great finish, but that's was a great Open overall.
Hopefully the USGA doesn't screw up Pebble this bad next year and we get a watchable Open.
Brooks got SO lucky there.
just a sprinkle of luck
You didn't think this year was watchable? I think it was a gorgeous, fun, and compelling 4 days, even if the drama died at the end.
I meant exactly what I said. You should speak for yourself.
Shout out to Finau blowing it the second he may get back into it.
