I know they changed some rules for this year. Is he now in a situation where they might review and give him a penalty later tonight and then assess him an additional penalty for signing an incorrect scorecard?

They also got rid of the double penalty thing too didn't they?
And I know it doesn't matter in this case since he got a ruling and won't be penalized.

Didn't see the first couple of holes, but by my count, Tiger made one mistake today. The bad tee shot on the par 3, leading to a bogey (on a hole that was playing hard all day, so kind of excusable). Aside from that, couple wayward tee shots, but he was able to get back in control of the hole and come away with relatively easy pars on them. But for the most part, he was putting for birdie, and in a lot of cases, a very, very makeable birdie. He could have gone crazy low today if he was putting like he did yesterday, where he only missed one inside 12 feet. Gotta love his chances tomorrow.

Have to go on a tour of Fenway with my son's 10U baseball team at 3:15 tomorrow, so I'm going to have to watch on the DVR, and hope I don't get spoiled beforehand. Going to be rough to not check the phone and see how he's doing.

Sneds has been driving the ball terribly this week, so it's sort of amazing he's in the position he's in. He seems comfortable playing with Tiger, and it's a comfortable pairing for Tiger as well. Meanwhile, Rose will be watching the circus while following behind, knowing just what he has to do. It's going to be a blast to see how it unfolds, and someone like Reed could certainly post something special. But in the end, I expect it to be Tiger, Snedeker, or Rose.

Tiger hasn't been in the mix in a tourney since August of 2013, at the WGC Bridgestone, which he won. This is epic, I hope today provides some solid drama. But I'm very excited.

Here we go folks. First drive right down the pipe. With all due respect to everyone else, I hope they fold like a cheap suit. I want Tiger.

The way these guys shape shots is insane. I'd have either hit that little tree square or had to play some crappy low runner out into the fairway.

Tiger just cannot make a birdie today. Leaving long putts and not converting the few manageable ones he has had.
Hir short irons have been fairly pathetic, had several here the last 8 holes or so where he was in coring position and left himself a 20 foot putt

The final 3 holes are playing very tough, Tiger would do well to hold at -8. He has only been a few shots back but his irons haven’t been very good.
