Tiger has performed more magic in his career than Siegfried and Roy.
C'mon man. One time! ONE TIME!!!

I’m sure Tiger would take a 2nd place finish, but has to be annoyed with his play on Sunday. This tourney was there for him.

It will be nice when Phil, DJ and a few others are playing as well. Next few months should be a lot of fun

That was on a course Tiger hasn’t played in competition on like 20 years or something. Let’s see what he does next week at a track he’s won a million times at already.

I was just coming to post this. He clearly had difficulty with some of the reads and pace. When he’s playing greens he’s comfortable with, more putts will drop

Well yeah, that’s gonna happen anywhere. There were a bunch that his pace was off and either broke under or stayed above the hole. I look at that as a function of playing on unfamiliar greens

That’s wasn’t his issue today. His issue was his approach shots weren’t landing close to the hole, causing the long putts.

Tiger has enough rounds to qualify for the stats the PGA tour keeps...

Driving distance- 303.4, T42
SG tee-to-green- 28th
SG around the geeen- 21st
SG putting- 23rd
Total SG: 11th

Up to 43d in the FedEx Cup, 149th in OWGR. He was in the 600’s after the Hero.

Pretty crazy how good he’s been given all the time off and everything he’s gone through health wise the past few years.

Tiger Woods and Ernie Els will duel in the Presidents Cup again, this time as captains.

Two people involved in the Presidents Cup tell The Associated Press that Woods and Els have agreed to be captains for the 2019 matches in Melbourne. They spoke on condition of anonymity because it has not been announced.
Interesting. They must have been laying the groundwork for this well before it looked like Tiger might ever be playing at a level to be on another cup team. Playing captain in a team event will be a fun throwback, and no I'm not getting ahead of myself.

Eyeball test: he doesn’t look like Tiger Woods but he sure looks like a top tier tour pro.

They made this official today. Tiger said he asked if it was possible to be a playing captain before signing on. Long way off, but he said he he hopes he can qualify so that he wouldn’t be in a position where he would have to pick himself.

Very early in this tournament, but it's insane to me to see him put together the results last week and then keep it going straight into this tournament. I think Tiger definitely is likely to win a tourney this year, but I expected more yoyoing with high results and then some missed cuts.

For anyone looking for a PGA Tour Live Stream, this is working for me:

Thanks for that. I really just need to pony up the $5.99 a month as I spend that on much worse things every month.

A group with Jason Day is a full hole behind the group in front of them? I’m shocked!

And Vegas now has him as 8-1 and the favorite at the Masters. I get that they're doing it as a bit of a hedge against paying out mega odds if he should win but it's still crazy to think that would even be possible even a month ago

How great is it to have Tiger back!

If he can keep this up through Sunday, it'll be fun to see how Tiger vs. March Madness plays out in the ratings.
I don’t have the article where I read this handy, but I believe the ratings for last Saturday and Sunday were the highest non-Masters ratings on Tour since 2015.

I read the same thing. Also, the ratings were about 25-30% higher than the Sunday majors last year, excepting The Masters. It was a colossal number. I couldn't find what the Valspar did last year, but I would have to guess the ratings were tripled.

Smylie Kaufman is so bad at golf right now. 12 straight rounds of over par golf, going on 13 given he's +5 after 3 today. He's finished last in 3 of his last 5 tournaments and is currently "leading" that race again for the Arnold Palmer.

Negative dollars? 3 straight tournaments throwing up an 80, 4th of 6 shooting over 80. Last shot under par in January with 7 rounds out of 34 under par this season.
