+1.

And depending on others to lose is a loser’s game.
I played that game too many times in the 1980's as a Patriots fan, it never ended well.

The Patriots have the #2 seed right in front of them, run the table for the #2 and get some help for the #1.

Worst case scenario, just take care of business from here on out, get a bye and go from there.

I have no idea why Sean Payton think Taysom Hill should be taking snaps away from Brees.

Odd of FOX to focus on Philly's secondary injuries. Their secondary hasn't really been a strength to begin with.

Their biggest issue on defense has been the loss of depth at DL, whether to injury (Barnett) or cap cuts/FA (Beau Allen/Vinny Curry).

Their drop in efficiency on offense has been pretty amazing. Even when Foles was out there early on this year, they weren't great.

SHHH...….they're 7-3, it doesn't matter, you'll see.
You said the Pats losing to those teams was inexcusable. Literally, there is no excuse, as if they were playing a Pop Warner team. Was Pitt tying Cleveland inexcusable? Or do things sometimes happen in the NFL?

I recall the Pats beating KC. So that was just excusable and you only focus on the losses? And this is a team that is 7-3 and in first place.

Anyone hear from Lane Johnson recently? Perhaps he's started the obscure radio career he's clearly positioning himself to launch into post-football.

Payton's fascination with Taysom Hill is going to bite the Saints in a big spot sometime this season.

Sometimes I try to imagine how we’d feel around here if we had David Johnson at RB and Josh Rosen at QB behind a patchwork OL but saw the offense spend most of its time trying to throw the ball to Not David Johnson.

I suppose.

I think their issue is they lack depth at WR/TE, forcing them to get creative in terms of getting the ball to players other than Ingram, Kamara, and Thomas. Their Dez and now Marshall signings exude desperation on that front. Kamara and Thomas are marvelous players but you will be hard-pressed to get to the Super Bowl without more options.

Pats haven’t had that type of bad coaching since 19 FUCKING 92! At worst, Pete was mediocre.

But with Hill under center, they stick Brees out wide and waste an offensive option.

It'd make a lot more sense to put both Brees and Hill in the backfield and forced the defense to have to worry about defending both the pass and various forms of Hill-related chicanery.

Agreed on this one. He goes to that well too often.

An unbelievably clean hit by Philly, shoulder to shoulder, avoiding the head completely. Flag.
Yeah, no idea what #24 is supposed to do there.

If this were 10 years ago, receiver and/or defender would have to be carted off the pitch.

It's not even in the same galaxy. They have lost a lot of players, the injuries have been especially bad.
You don't understand ... they are wearing the same uniforms, ipso facto they are the same team

It's the right call now. He's defenseless. Need to get there before the ball and knock it away
No, it's not the right call. You can hit a defenseless receiver, as long as you don't do it with your helmet, and you don't hit them above the shoulders. He planted his shoulder right in the guys chest, which is legal. It was just a bad call. The ref clearly thought he made contact with the receiver's helmet, which he didn't.

If that were the rule, then Julio Jones should have gotten called for a personal foul on his hit on a defenseless receiver, when he broke up an interception earlier today.

And as usual, the expectations for a key player not named Adrian Peterson coming off a serious knee injury were ... unrealistic.

Rivers is such a moron.

Screen play thrown right into Von Miller’s arms. Didn’t even take a great play. Literally the only thing you can’t do with a 12 point lead against a struggling opponent. Broncos turn it to 6 immediately.
