Von Miller is so ridiculously fast for a man his size.

If Denver would recognize two things, they'd be a much better team.

Philip Lindsay is their most explosive player, and needs to get more touches.

They need to run the fucking ball. They are #1 in the NFL at 5.2ypc. They are 21st in the NFL with 221 rushing attempts coming into today. Today, they are averaging 7.2ypc, and yet, they have 12 rushes, and 20 passes.

Just run the ball, and do it with Lindsay, and profit.

Rivers is such a moron.

Screen play thrown right into Von Miller’s arms. Didn’t even take a great play. Literally the only thing you can’t do with a 12 point lead against a struggling opponent. Broncos turn it to 6 immediately.
Another team that refuses to commit to the run, even though they have a stud tailback in Melvin Gordon, who can handle the punishment. It's almost like they feel some need to give Rivers a shot at 400 yards passing every game.

And there it is again, 3rd and short, instead of pounding it down their throat, they throw it. Here comes Denver.

Jesus, what a clusterfuck that fourth down play was. Looked like 3 guys moved before the snap, then Wentz wasn't ready for the snap, and then not good...

The Saints have been so unbelievably impressive lately. Last four weeks:

- Beat Minnesota on the road by 10.
- Beat the Rams at home by 10.
- Crushed Cincy by 37 on the road.
- Now embarrassing the defending NFC champion Eagles by 24.

They're a juggernaut right now. I mean I say that, and it's true, but this is today's NFL, where a team that is wrecking people still has the 23rd ranked defense (heading into today). So they can be lit up. But stopping them? Good luck. They've averaged 36.7 points a game heading into today, and they're at 31 and counting right now.

I'm with you on Lindsay. He's so fast and electric. He should only get the ball.

You said the Pats losing to those teams was inexcusable. Literally, there is no excuse, as if they were playing a Pop Warner team. Was Pitt tying Cleveland inexcusable? Or do things sometimes happen in the NFL?

I recall the Pats beating KC. So that was just excusable and you only focus on the losses? And this is a team that is 7-3 and in first place.
The Steelers tied the Browns.

That was one game.

So yes, as you stated "things sometimes happen in the NFL."

The Patriots, as I stated initially, lay an egg vs an inferior team, or "things sometimes happen in the NFL", these are all professional football teams, ie, one game like your Steelers example.

Losing three such games (so far) in a season is not good.

That was my point.

If the Patriots receiving corps could make the plays these Saints receivers are making, nobody would be talking about how Brady is declining.

Well, you said it was inexcusable. I think that word is what prompted my reaction. Yes, it's definitely not good, I agree, but I don't think anything about the Pats season thus far is inexcusable. The guys on the other side of the line live in mansions too.

I stand corrected, looks like he's going to succeed in throwing this game. Leads to an interesting question... if you don't gamble on it, is intentionally losing even against any rules?

This eagles team looks like just a small step better than the worst tier in the league. Sure, the Saints look great this year, but the Eagles defensive backs seem to be 3-5 yards off position on every single play.

Understood, wrong choice of words on my part.

Meanwhile, the Super Bowl champion Iggles are getting their asses handed to them; enjoy that Super Bowl win fellas, something something blind squirrel and an acorn.

They didn’t just lose. They were blown the fuck out in two of them, and the third was not particularly competitive. None of the three opponents is particularly good. (You don’t get pole axed @indy and emerge with that label.) It’s not as if they rolled one stinker out there.

1. This has not happened in anyone’s recent memory. Maybe 2002, but that’s going back so far it’s not worth checking.

2. His response is an understandable reaction to those three losses being characterized as the three opponents’ “Super Bowl.” That’s beyond weak sauce because implicit in the characterization is the notion (a) that these teams should lay down for the Pats and/or (b) it’s understandable that the Pats could not overcome the challenge.

Why root for Denver ever. The Chargers can't get the bye being the 2nd best team in their division, so who cares

I'm going to say it every week. The Giants are going to be proven right for not taking Josh Rosen/Josh Allen/Sam Darnold over Saquon Barkley. None of them are going to be good NFL QB's, and all 3 of those teams should be thinking about dropping another high first rounder on a QB next year.

Saints first and goal from the 2. They hammer the ball into Ingram's hands 3 times and he gets no yards on every carry. Kamara just planted on the bench.

I guess he doesn't want to run up the score.

Josh Rosen is pretty good and could become something.

It's funny you mentioned this "This has not happened in anyone’s recent memory. Maybe 2002, but that’s going back so far it’s not worth checking." as outside of 2002, I was trying to think of a year where they had three or more such losses, maybe 2009 when they finished 10-6?

Regardless, what's done is done, they need to basically run the table for the #2 seed and get some help for the #1; I'll gladly take the #2 and the bye and go from there...………….

A Nascar game break, followed by a throw high school kids aren't dumb enough to make.

What an atrocious day of football today was
