I disagree that Goodell has made them a bunch of money. He’s a puppet. Bozo the clown could have done what he did. If he were more competent, the hate would be less. I don’t recall prior commissioners attracting such hate.
There is a long list of fuck ups, starting with the ray rice debacle
From a bottom-line standpoint, the concussion settlement, the labor deal, and the TV contracts (though your Bozo the clown comment arguably applies) all matter a lot more than Ray Rice, DFG, or whatever. The Anthem controversy this past season is the first time Goodell’s imperfect PR skills cost the owners serious money, and even a PR wizard wouldn’t have come through that unscathed.
I don’t want to prolong the debate much given this is a draft thread (though it is a fun one!), but I think a good commissioner would be able to reduce ,not just absorb, the hate. A good commissioner would make the owners agenda seem attractive, not something a guy needs to “absorb hate” to defend.
I dont see it. Giants have a misguided belief Eli is their QB of the future. Its now a great chip to trade though. Bills?
Eli is an elite QB who isnt old so it makes perfect sense to take the most replaceable position in football. i mean when they won their SBs they had elite RBs.
I'm watching with a bunch of fans applauding Barkley for the Giants. And these folks like the G-Men. Because they need a running back, which I ripped that they need SO much more help like DL depth and other holes. And that Mayfield is Manziel 2.0. If this is Tindr, sure.
