Blazers were sitting on a big lead and decided not to play defense for 2 quarters. May cost them the game.

Windhorst was on the Lowe Post today and talked about how during the first week of training camp the Cavs seemed really motivated to avenge their finals loss and were in good spirits as a team. Then Dwyane Wade came in and threw everything out of whack; he said Lue didn't want to start Wade but had to because of "chemistry" which then disenchanted JR Smith who has been terrible.
That seems like whistling past the graveyard to me. The Cavaliers are a very old team now -- Crowder, Thompson, and Shumpert are their only rotation guys who are under 29 years old right now -- and some of what we're seeing this season has to be that cliff that players in their 30s tend to fall off of.

The refs in this wiz cavs game are just atrocious. Tons of missed calls, a horrible flagrant call, somehow there was confusion over the number of team fouls.... No flow to this game at all

This Cavs Bullets game is atrocious. Neither team is playing that well on Offense but the "D" is non-existent. It's 104-93 after 3 and it hasn't been even remotely fun to watch because of the lack of hustle from both teams.

Drummond going 14/16 is a huge development. His confidence is going to be high which opens up what they can do offensively and makes him more dynamic because he won't be afraid of going to the line.

There is simply no way this lasts. Dude is a career 38% FT shooter.

Lebron has 54 right now. Has played every minute of the second half, and has legitimately controlled the entire game. Pretty much every trip down the court has been a Lebron ISO where he makes a shot, or finds and open teammate. I think he viewed this one as a must win after the beatings they've been taking, and just decided he was going to take over. I've seen a ton of Lebron, and I'd put this up there as one of his 15 or so best performances of all time. He's been that good.

The 14/16 nights are probably going to be few and far between; but he reworked his stroke in the offseason and shot around 70 percent in the preseason. Even if he can shoot 60 percent it's a huge improvement.

Edit: Or what Bosox said.

He's worked on it all off season and guys do improve. Not nearly that much, but even if he can hit 60% of his FT changes things.
Going from 38% over 5 years to 60% in a single season would be quite the jump. I’m bearish on his ability to get to 60% for a full season but it certainly would be a big deal if he did.

He played "hero ball" all night, but made 23 out of 34 shots. 57 on 34 shots. I'd take that every night from my star. He only took 4 3 pointers, and made 2 of them. 11 boards, 7 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals....Guy is simply the best, and without him, the Cavs don't win 35 games.

I really wish I could appreciate LeBron without being terrified of him/thinking he's kind of a douche.

He basically took out his dick and beat the Wizards over their heads with it.

I was at a restaurant and couldn't pay that close attention, but I saw Wall matched up on LBJ a few times. That seemed rather, errr, strange.

I fear tonight is going to be a turning point for the Lakers season, and it's all because they finally came to their senses and started Kuzma. Can't really give them too much credit because they only started him due to the injury to Larry Nance Jr (wh has actually been playing pretty well too).. Kuzma went for 21 and 13, on 8/11 shooting, and is now shooting 54% from the field on the year, averaging 15ppg in 26 minutes and has a PER of 18.12, which will probably start going up significantly with his minutes.

It'll be interesting to see what they do when Nance comes back. If Ingram can play the 2 (even though he's 6'9), maybe they keep Nance and Kuzma (both of whom are also 6'9, but they play "bigger" than Ingram) on the floor, and bench Caldwell-Pope. It would make them a huge starting 5 with Lopez at center. And they would still have Randle, Ennis, Caldwell-Pope and Clarkson for their second unit. Kind of amazing that they gave Deng a huge contract last year, and he isn't getting off the bench anymore for even a couple minutes. The Lakers could be a surprising team this year, which obviously kind of sucks for the C's.

Without Lebron, this years Cavs might win 12-15 games.

Sure, but it's not like if the Lakers win 36 games and end up with something like the 10th pick we get it and we're all let down. Then it will flip to Sacramento's next season.

We get #2-#5 or root against Kings next season.

He may have some douchey ways but you can't help but respect a lot of what he does outside of his 94x50 playground. Never once been in trouble with the law, no scandals.......and this.
