In the A-Sun, 3-seed Kennesaw State is trying to avoid playing a second game today and they're on the right track. They lead 4-seed David Lipscomb, 4-1 after 8 innings. A 3-run b-7th broke open a tie game with RBI singles from DH Brennan Morgan and 3B Matt Bahnick each plating a one, and another scoring on a wild pitch. Jordan Hillyer worked 6 innings KSU while battling some wildness (1 ER, 5 H, 4 BB, 5 K) and won't factor in the decision. James Connell stands to gain the win (2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 5 K).

EDIT - 1B Chris McGowan adds a trio of insurance runs with a bases-clearing double in the b-8th to make it 7-1, KSU. Justin McCalvin is in to try and close it out in the t-9th.

EDIT - McCalvin works around a hit and a walk, striking out 2 to end it. Kennesaw State wins the Atlantic Sun championship and heads to the dance.

Just 6 games remaining:

* In the WAC, they're headed to the 9th with Sacramento State leading Utah Valley, 10-3.

* Indiana & Nebraska have resumed the Big Ten final after a lengthy rain delay in Omaha. They're in the last of the 8th with the Hoosiers still up 7-4.

* Canisius goes down 1-2-3 in the t-8th, and they're down to their last 3 outs in the MAAC final. Siena still up, 4-1 b-8th.

* San Diego State continues to lead the MVC final 3-1, now in the b-5th with UNLV batting. The Rebels have just 2 hits on the day.

* Florida & LSU are scoreless with the Tigers batting in the t-4th of the SEC championship. LSU has the only hit, and it was just erased on a GIDP.

* Big 12 Final just getting underway.

* Sacramento State wins the WAC title, 10-3, and the Hornets will head to the dance.

* UNLV plates 2 in the b-5th to tie up SDSU, 3-3.

* Neil Fryer allows a 1-out double but closes out the 9th for Siena, and the Saints knock off Canisius, 5-1, for the MAAC title.

* The Hoosiers add another run on a Casey Rodrigue RBI single in the b-8th, and they take the Big Ten 8-4 over Nebraska.

* Oklahoma State & TCU both go down in order in the 1st.

So we're down to just 3 games: Big 12, MWC and SEC.

Cody Thompson, with 2 scoreless innings already in the books (2 H, 0 BB, 0 K), is back on the mound for SDSU to try and close out the b-9th.

But he'll have to work around a leadoff single by T.J. White. Just the 6th hit of the day for the Rebs.

EDIT - White takes 2nd on a sac bunt.

EDIT - And that'll do it for Thompson as closer Michael Cederoth comes on (6-2, 19 sv, 2.31 ERA, 50.2 IP, 36 H, 28 BB, 55 K, 2 HR).

EDIT - Cederoth induces a Jody Swanner ground-out to short, and the runner has to hold. Two down...

EDIT - Yikes. White takes 3rd on a passed ball. Tying run now 90 feet away...

EDIT - Justin Jones flies out to right, and that ends it. San Diego State wins the Mountain West Conference and the NCAA auto-bid.

Tyler Alexander has been nails today on the mound (6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 69 pitches).

EDIT - It's a 7-1 final as Alexander goes the distance for a 4-hitter with 4 Ks. The Horned Frogs win the Big 12 title.

Indiana St gets the Indiana regional as well.
