Caputo walks and it's 1st and 2nd for Anthony Italiano.

A Chris Fornaci double leading off the t-6th for the Waves ends Arriaga's no-hit bid for Loyola. Jefferson then bunts and Arriaga throws high to first and he's safe with Fornaci holding at 3rd. But a bloop single by Brandon Caruso scores him to give Pepperdine the 1-0 lead.
 
EDIT - The official scorer has changed the ruling on Jefferson's bunt. It's a hit instead of a sacrifice plus E-1.
 
EDIT - Ryan Langlois with an opposite-field double down the RF line, scoring Jefferson & Caruso, and it's 3-0 Waves.
 
EDIT - And now we have a replay challenge on whether Langlois' ball was fair or foul. I don't see any way the blurry Zapruder-esque video shot from behind home plate is going to reverse it. But if they do, it will be the first such reversal in college baseball history.

Yes it was a weird play as the umps never gave a signal so Krause had to run to 2nd.  They threw it to 2nd and tagged the base.  The umps got together and determined it was a catch so it turned into a double play.  Awful way to lose a game.
 
I'd imagine Boston native Ryley MacEachern or Tim Knesnik will get the ball tomorrow afternoon for SBU.  It will be the first time since I've been here that SBU has not won the title in 3 straight after winning the first 2 games.

Play is underway in the AE title game. Stony Brook has taken a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a Kevin Courtney RBI groundout.
 
Binghamton followed up with an RBI groundout of it's own to tie it at 1.  
 
SB's Matt Senk has decided to bring back Frankie Vanderka, his #1 starter and who pitched the first game on Thursday, on 2 days rest rather than go with a rested Ryley MacEachern or Tim Knesnik.  I like the decision as you can get as much out of Vanderka as you can and piece the game together as you go along.

Kent State wins the MAC title over Akron, 3-0, and heads to the dance as Michael Clark (6.2 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 3 K) and John Fasola (2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 K) combine for the 5-hit shutout of the Zips. CF Jon Wilson was 4-for-4 with a run, and Zarley Zalewski (my favorite name in college baseball this year) went 1-for-4 with run scored and a 2-run double to lead the Golden Flash offense.

In the MAAC, Siena forces a deciding game with a 6-5 win over Canisius. Trailing 4-1 heading to the 8th, the Saints put up a 5-spot and hung on after the Golden Griffins plated a run in the last of the 9th. Brian Fay's bases-loaded double scored a pair, and single runs scored on a Dan Swain sac fly, a single by Dave Hoffman (who also drove in their first run), and a wild pitch by the Griffs' Iannick Remillard.

In the AAC, they're heading to the last of the 9th with 3-seed Houston leading top seed Louisville, 10-2. And pinch-hitter Shane Crain just launched a mammoth HR to left field for the Cards to make it 10-3, taking a waist-high FB deep. And now Sutton Whiting hammers one from the left side (another FB left up in the zone), and it's suddenly 10-4 with 2 out. Tyler Ford looks like he's tiring. 
 
Cougars' 2B Josh Vidales is 5-for-5 with 3 RBI, 1B Casey Grayson is 2-for-5 with a double, walk and 4 RBI, and RF Kyle Survance is 2-for-4 with 2 BB & 3 R from the leadoff spot. Cards pitchers have issued 7 walks and hit 2 batters today.
 
EDIT - Survance catches the final fly-out to RF, and Houston wins the title and the auto-bid.

Great game in the ACC with Tech taking a 2-0 lead in the t-1st. Maryland got one back in the b-2nd and they traded runs in the 4th. The Terps took their first lead with a pair in the b-6th to make it 4-3. But single runs by the Jackets in the t-7th and t-8th have put them back on top, 5-4. GT is still batting in the t-8th with runners on 2nd & 3rd and 1 out.
 
EDIT - Connor Justus with a helluva at-bat vs closer Kevin Mooney. He takes the 10th pitch back up the middle for a hard 2-run single. Jackets up 7-4.
