Can you blame him? It's not often you get to see a player of Brad Marchand's caliber play for the Providence Bruins.

    Oh, wait....

Who wore the C against AZ?

I didn't see the AZ game, but IIRC, no one has warn it when Chara has been out in the past. I'm guessing Krejci Marchand Miller will all wear A's. Marchand wearing an A will never not be weird

Wouldn't be surprised if it was Backes instead of Marchand, he has worn it in the past.

I'm really sad about Bergeron going down. Who knows how many season he has left in him like he was having. 33, with a lot of miles is not young for the NHL.

    Fuck.

I'd give it to Krejci based on tenure, and not being a prick.

Krejci, Marchand and Backes wore the A’s in Arizona.

Miller is back, and it appears that Cave won’t play tomorrow. They’ll roll the same forward lines as Saturday.

    Bjork - Krejci - Pastrnak
    Marchand - Nordstrom - DeBrusk
    Heinen - JFK - Acciari
    Wagner - Kuraly - Backes

    Grzelyck - Miller
    Krug - Clifton
    Lauzon - Kampfer

    Rask

JFK had was decent last weekend. They’re really going to need him now. Hopefully he plays well enough to earn some minutes with Marchand and DeBrusk.

Honestly, the Bergeron injury could make JFK's career. If he responds well, he's likely the 3C moving forward. If he tanks continuously, I have to wonder if that will follow him around the rest of his career. He's very young, but this is a pivotal moment for him.

Yes. Because about to not be very young. One of four 22 year olds playing tonight.

Of course, then Backes goes and beats out an icing call.... I have no idea what is going on anymore.

Good to have Miller back. He’s going to get a ton of minutes.

As much as I usually agree with Jack+Brick's tangents, the net came off the post because DeKuyzer's stick broke on it after he was checked into it.

"Jack and Brick's Tangents" is the name of my Springsteen cover band that starts playing "Born to Run" and then loses focus and just jams for a few hours.

Yeah, that's what I was going for. I generally like Jack, but that clearly wasn't intentional.

That's a pretty bad penalty call, but after all the ones going the other way against the Bruins I will take it.

Good first, great defensive layers outside of the last 2 minutes or so. Start putting some chances away in the next one.

Back from vacation and my first B's game in 3 weeks. The Detroit feed I'm watching is terrible...

And if Heinen could just get stronger on the puck...

Goal, then Mike Green literally skated a circle around him, then a beautiful pass to Acciari who of course did nothing with it. The adventures of JFK

That explains Acciari centering Bjork and Pastrnak. Cliffton is a player, eh?

Cliffton is replacement-level. At this point, that's a good thing.

Holy wow Clifton's interview on NESN was fantastic. Had no idea what he was doing, had no idea what happened on the ice, talked over Alex constantly, and was completely in information overload trying to process the game at NHL speed. He was also clearly having the time of his life.

Clifton is a good story. 5th round pick by the Coyotes, played 4 years at Quinnipiac. Went unsigned, turned a development camp invite from the Bruins into a contract. A year later he’s in the NHL.

That's a really odd choice to take away the assists
