Not true. You "heard" it from RedOctober. It was trick question and you fell for it.Not me
NO ONE with the "Simone?" reference? C'mon.Saw someone tweet that per radio reports Arian Foster was visiting the Patriots. Anybody else hear this?
I don't think so, because then the bills would've spent more than 80 K as they extended Incognito and their LT. Brady was not a free agent.Pats are only on the list because of $30M to Brady
9. New England Patriots
Guaranteed money spent: $38.1 million
The Patriots' total ranks high, but it's a bit misleading because $30 million of it comes from quarterback Tom Brady's contract extension. While Brady will be 39 on Aug. 3, that still seems like a sound investment. Otherwise, the club has picked its spots carefully. -- Mike Reiss
All that list tells me is the Giants have had some really shitty drafts.
I've been lookingI've looked, but found nothing new on Nick Fairley. Anyone else having any luck?
Anytime Donald Brown comes up I think of this clip.Dogman2 is the greatest.
FWIW, the Pats offseason moves thus far have been almost perfect. Donald Brown - who I think does not make the team out of camp - aside.
http://nesn.com/2016/03/report-patriots-hosting-terrance-knighton-after-losing-out-on-nick-fairley/Free-agent defensive tackle Nick Fairley reportedly chose to sign with the New Orleans Saints over the Patriots on Monday morning, and it didn’t take New England long to move on. The Patriots are hosting another free-agent defensive tackle, Terrance Knighton, on a visit Monday, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
It seems the NE FO is bent on adding depth to the DL, after losing out on Hicks and Fairley.
Just an aside but Knighton is a huge Celtics fan. He's constantly tweeting about them (Woj actually answered a twitter question of his about what the C's will do this offseason)
Well, he's from Hartford ... so it makes some senseJust an aside but Knighton is a huge Celtics fan. He's constantly tweeting about them (Woj actually answered a twitter question of his about what the C's will do this offseason)
PFF has closed all of its "premium" (I know, chuckles, right?) stats to the public. You can't even renew expiring subscriptions either. How did Knighton grade out on PFF? No need to rehash the PFF is crap argument, but their line rankings can be somewhat helpful. His traditional stats were basically the exact same the last few years so hard to tell if he has lost anything. Turns 30 this summer.
Heh, didn't know that. Also didn't know that Chris Long's father and HoFer Howie Long was born & raised in Charlestown and attended Milford High: http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/howie-long-signs-son-joining-patriotsWell, he's from Hartford ... so it makes some sense
I took that as a joke that about his body shapeKnighton tweeted as follows today:
"Keep that word rotational out of any thing about me"
Looks like serving Pot Roast in Foxboro will be pretty unlikely.
...or one of the other guys get hurt.Well, we won a Superbowl with fat ass Ted Washington manning the middle so why not look into Knighton. But Brown and Branch are already decent run-stuffing DT's, so the only way this works is if Knighton IS rotational
He's actually from a suburb north of Hartford. He graduated from Windsor High School.Well, he's from Hartford ... so it makes some sense
Pot Roast has been vocally unhappy about his "welcome" in the F.A. even before he joined Washington, but he only has his discipline to blame. I'd be happy to cross his name off the list if he's not going to be happy about his rotational, yes, rotational, role here in NE.I'm not sure how reliable these numbers are but Knighton only played 35% of snaps with Washington last year and 48% with Denver in 2014. So either we're taking the tweet out of context or I'm not sure what he's expecting here. He's clearly not a guy to put out there in obvious passing situations even if his conditioning could handle it.

Now could the cherry on top be Jamaal Charles?Bill Polian, of all people, said the Patriots had a great FA signing period ... and that was before Knighton.
What did I miss regarding Charles? Is that an actual possibility? What's the news or rumor there? Now could the cherry on top be Jamaal Charles?
Oh ok. Because if that was a thing.....it would be incredible. It was something getting kicked around on PFW in Progress the other day. There's also the past relationship bw BB and Andy Reid in terms of trades. In other words, there's really nothing at all concrete about it, but it's not entirely pie in the sky.
Already happened says Reiss.http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/01/immigration-issue-slowing-down-packers-linebackers-free-agency/
Packers OLB Andy Mulumba due to visit Patriots.
It got traction because the Chiefs signed Spencer Ware and West to extensions. One would assume that they want to go with those 2 going forward. They were on record as shopping Knile Davis. It was something getting kicked around on PFW in Progress the other day. There's also the past relationship bw BB and Andy Reid in terms of trades. True, but Mike Williams had as good of a 3-year run to start his career as one can hope for:Free agency must really be winding down when the thread is retitled for a guy whose last action was catching 8 passes in 2014.
I'd like to see him sign with the Pats, if only for the entertaining John Harbaugh meltdown that will occur when the refs "allow" the Pats to sub WR Mike Williams in for TE Michael Williams.Williams is a physical specimen whose antics have forced him out of the league. He's a guy who probably comes for vet min and has a high chance of not making the roster, but who also has a potentially high reward with almost no risk. I'd love such a a signing, fully recognizing he probably would amount to nothing.
