Awesome game. Chris Young seemed to have a no-hitter through five in half of his starts this year, great guy to have in long relief as he seems exceedingly difficult to adjust to.

Was Duda looking for something else on that 3-1 heater, or was he overwhelmed by the moment and not going to swing at anything?

Mets top of the lineup are pressing, trying too hard to hit HRs

On the flip side, Duda taking a 3-1 89mph fastball down the middle I don't quite understand either, don't know what he was sitting on there

36 year old Young matched with the 42 year old Colon on the mound. "Crafty" veterans.

And now Bartolo Colon's first WS appearance ever, at the age of 42 after 18 MLB seasons.

Quite off-topic, has anyone figured out why Fox has decided to have the 'rub MLB's nose in it' group of Rose & ARod for postseason postgames? Are they doing it from the Shoeless Joe Jackson studio?

Its the battle of ageless, skinny, sometimes out of baseball pitchers.  Well, except the skinny part.

One of MLB's biggest sponsors has been pushing for Rose to be re-legitimized for years. As for Rodriguez, no idea.

I'd love to see Jim Bouton added for shits and giggles

Jesus--Dyson should think about bunting here. Could Colon get home or the runner heading from third?

Didn't the A's win a ALDS game against BOS with a bases loaded bunt with two outs?

They're not the Mets
Agreed, it's just not immediately clear when you watch them why they're so good. There's nothing really truly electric (except parts of the bullpen). It just all works. The pieces fit together.
