I think there would be a concern that DB's would just tackle any receiver that beat them.

I really hope so.  It's so dumb that a 5-yard holding penalty on a 4th and 35 could result in an automatic first down.

Five yards and a replay of the down (if 5 yards doesn't result in a first down... similar to an offsides penalty) sounds more than fair to me.

Yeah, I'm shocked they haven't done more of that since Lindley took over.  Early on against the Seahawks, they threw a few Flacco-esque deep balls to Floyd and had some moderate success (I think there were a couple DPI penalties).  Then they gave up on it entirely, and got blown out.  Then against the 49ers, the only success they had was when Lindley would chuck it deep.  I think the only way the Cardinals win this game is if Lindley channels his inner Rex Grossman.
