Maybe because he's played nearly every position on defense... plus two or three on offense. The fact Peppers got invited is a joke. Take a look at his stats. It's an absolute joke. He's not even in the top 3 on his own defense.

He had quite the material impact when OSU ran right past him for the game winning TD.You clearly didn't watch him play much. There were many games when he had a material impact on all three phases.
You're a tool...and you're wrong. He had quite the material impact when OSU ran right past him for the game winning TD.
And Baker Mayfield shit the bed against Houston and Ohio State. Point being, you suck.He had quite the material impact when OSU ran right past him for the game winning TD.
Christ, you're a humorless douche.You're a tool...and you're wrong.
Michigan's D coordinator indicated that in that set, Peppers' job was to turn the play in, which he did.
This is a kid who comes from extremely tough circumstances (father in prison, older brother shot and killed) who has earned a trip to NY given how well he played. The BS from people like you is pathetic.
Christ, you're a humorless douche.
Jackson's numbers were just absurd. He was the easy slam dunk candidate.Lamar Jackson. His numbers are just ridiculous.
It's amazing how close Watson's numbers are to last season:
2015: 333/491, 4101, 35/13
2016: 329/487, 3914, 37/15
I think quite a few Heisman votes would've turned out differently if they were done after the bowl games. Including last year's.His numbers were insane, especially the rushing. I'll say this however, if they play the season in reverse and he loses his first 3 games rather than the last 3, he doesn't get invited to NY. He would have been out of the conversation all season and the 63 pts against Florida State would not have been enough to save a 4 loss campaign.
Having said that, they don't play it in reverse and he deserved it despite the losses.
Or, had they correctly called DPI on that 3rd down play in the EZ, Jackson beats Watson H2H and Watson is probably out.His numbers were insane, especially the rushing. Strongly disagree. Especially when a guy is in such a prone position. But I also dont' think flags are thrown consistently at any level, and that offensive holding and OPI are called at a laughably low rate (holding a guy inside the shoulder pads is still holding). He was on him, but he didn't turn him or anything like that. I get the contact, but it wasn't enough for DPI. Guy went to the ground by himself.
He only lost 3 before the bowl. RG3 lost 3 games before Nov 1 and still won the Heisman. But he did win his bowl game.I'm not going to rewatch the game and gain an opinion on those plays you're referring to. I was there live, so I didn't get the benefit of replay and announcer comments. I don't agree with you on the one play I did watch today. My point today is that if Jackson starts the season with 3 losses, crushing FSU would not have given him enough of a boost to overcome a bad start. It's just an observation, not many QB's win that award with many losses on their record. I'm not sure any QB has ever won the Heisman with 4 losses, but I could be wrong and I'm not looking it up. I don't think Watson deserved to win it this year. He was second and deserved that slot IMO based on early season inconsistency.
I know this, I'd rather have Watson on Monday night.
I have Cook on my CFB fantasy team, I know that. lol.Funny thing is Dalvin Cook's chances fizzled in that FSU game and he finished the season strong.
Regarding the Louisville O Line, I'm not sure what is going on there. I know they weren't a strong unit last year and I'm not sure if they had any injuries. I know Petrino played a bunch of guys in 2015 looking for a good combination, so he may have done that again. But it's possible teams just weren't prepared to defend Jackson early and schemes got better as the season went on. Clearly he was contained and having issues getting loose late in the season, so you have to figure either the line got progressively worse or teams just had better game plans the more film they had to analyze. I'll be curious to see how Lamar does next year. I'm sold on his ability, but I worry about the frame. Sort of an RGIII thing going on there. Can't imagine he'll be able to take much of a pounding.
