I suspect his numbers are significantly increased because Adams is drawing the best coverage (ie, not Myles Bryant). Hard to believe he would be a difference maker for this group.

Nobody is saying that. Literally nobody is left defending Jones or thinking he has a shot to lead this team to anything other than disappointment. But we can be good faith and say no QB would prosper behind this line. Its just being honest and not letting personal biases in the way.

The line is always the scapegoat for Mac (and they've certainly been awful), but doesn't he own some of that as well? My problem with Mac (well, one of them), is that it doesn't look like he does anything to elevate his teammates.
