Denver is going to get absolutely destroyed in that division if things don’t dramatically change.
hold on there kc i will give u but vegas has the 4th best qb and no o-line and LAC coach is just as dumb as ours denver is a 10 win team because we have a top 5 def i mean we lose simmons surtain and jeredy and have littie dropoff in def overall

Having Dungy and Garrett on the NBC panel - neither of which say anything of added value - is mind numbing.

And Rodney, who got pushed aside for Brees in the studio, spends another year joined at the hip with Jac Collinsworth.
rodney shouild been in the booth

well to be fair they have no wr's
Mooney is a pretty decent WR and Kmet a decent TE (he's about league average) but yea, that's basically it aside from Montgomery out of the backfield. Doesn't change that fields has looked bad basically every game.

I was happy the Browns blew the game today, obvs, but what I couldn’t stop thinking about is how dominant the Browns O will be when the sex offender hits the field. They will be unstoppable.

yeah the dirty hit tj ward game and it was dirty
It was so easy to root against him in Denver after that hit on Gronk.

My favorite TJ Ward moment though came late in a Pats blowout win - in Denver IIRC - when he flexed after a bit hit in the 4th quarter down by like 3 scores. It was great.

I know nobody cares about fantasy teams or gambling bad beats, but I have to throw this out there just because it is so outrageous. I was in Vegas over the weekend and had money on the Browns, Ravens and Rams, individual bets and then all three in a parlay, who all somehow managed to blow seemingly comfortable leads (against the spread) in the fourth quarter, with things like a missed extra point, an onside kick recovery and a blocked punt for a touchdown all playing prominent roles. Holy hell what a day.

Apparently there are 2 football games tonight, competing with each other on the same tv family (one half)
Bills Titans 7:15 ESPN
Vikes Eagles 8:30 ABC

Weird

Heard on the Buffalo radio pre-game show: the NFL wants to move to running two or three games on Monday nights in the future -- they will be doing running several games on Monday nights this year as tests, to see how various aspects of the productions play against each other.

Expectations are so high in Buffalo. With good reason, but still -- lots of pressure to win this year.

Solid tackling by Ten on the bills opening drive there. Clinical.

Looked to me like the foot dragged across the turf, but that wasn't a great angle.

It’s clearly a catch on even a cursory review - McDermott seemed to get a little extra time to make a challenge decision and talk to refs about it.

I don’t see why you challenge this in the 1st Q

When did going to NFL games become like going to Let’s Make a Deal? Wear a silly costume, put on a dumb hat, focus on getting on TV more than on the game…

(shakes fist at cloud)

How many people at the stadium have a decent view of the field? I’m guessing it’s about half at a modern stadium like Gillette, and somewhat less at an older stadium like whatever the one in Buffalo is called these days.

It's a bad call anyway you look at it

If you win, they still kick a FG and it may be 3 more points than they would otherwise, if you make them hurry a call
If you lose, they get more time to call the play

I like using challenges on changes of possession

Terrible NFL QBs sure have cornered the market on NFL analysis - quite the cottage industry

That was maybe (?) incomplete, but Diggs is just amazing. Oh, if only the Pats had signed him a few years ago instead of the Bills. He's been my favorite even going back to the Maryland days.

Yeah. I agree. That was a great trade by the Bills and for all of Allen's innate talent, Diggs has been a huge part of him being one of the best QBs in the league.

Edit - Allen is tremendous regardless. But the combo of an insanely talented QB with an insanely talented WR is just fun to watch.

I forgot it was a trade, I thought Diggs was a free agent.
On March 20, 2020, the Vikings traded Diggs and their seventh round draft pick to the Buffalo Bills for their first (Justin Jefferson), fifth, and sixth round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, in addition to a fourth round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft (Janarius Robinson).
Okay, I'm not sure the Pats could have beaten that offer.

edit:
No. 22: Buffalo → Minnesota (PD). Buffalo traded first-, fifth-, and sixth-round selections as well as a 2021 fourth-round selection to Minnesota in exchange for wide receiver Stefon Diggs and a seventh-round selection.[Trade 6]
No. 23: New England → L.A. Chargers (D). New England traded a first-round selection (23rd) to the Chargers in exchange for second- and third-round selections (37th and 71st).[Trade 7]
Okay so Buffalo traded the #22 pick, 5th and 6th and a future 4th, for Diggs. The Pats traded #23 for 2nd and 3rd rounders and took Kyle Dugger and a pick that was packaged for Josh Uche.

Yeah, I think the trade was well before the draft (e.g., Buffalo didn't trade Jefferson), but still that would have been tough to beat. But your point stands that Diggs is awesome. He was good at Maryland; he was good in Minnesota; he is good in Buffalo.
