No great options, of course you just cant let that happen and be in that spot.
But 5 yards extra on the FG or the 3rd down isn't that big of a deal compared to the chance of getting tackled in bounds and losing the game right there.
The clock wasn’t running, so a runoff can’t apply, and I don’t think a delay of game triggers a runoff anyways.
A 10 second run off for a Delay of Game would be a bizarre rule.
It’s designed for teams that are behind, rushing to get the play off, and in the process of doing that commit a penalty.
Not for a team that’s losing but for some reason so disorganized and wasting so much time they end up getting a delay of game.
Dammit. A Ravens loss would have been nice in my survivor pool.
I think SoSH needed the win though.

I’ve defended him a ton and I do think staley is incompetent…but Herbert has sucked lately. Needs to be much better
