California. Duh.
If it does go to penalties, Guzan may have the advantage simply because he's been more active in the game. Munoz has been standing around most of the second half.

El tri looks confident they'll get more chances.

Bradley has worked his arse off this game, let's see if he can work some more magic off a box to box run.

... It's not Jozy giving it away that really burns me, its the way he first slows down the counter.

Not an unfair result at all.  Mexico have been far, far better.  And they've had plenty of joy behind Jones and Beasley who are both way too narrow.

Tecatito on for Mexico.  I remember him absolutely terrorizing the US at the U20 level.

Mexico deserves it, but pretty terrible defensive marking there. Never a good thing when your defender looks up surprised to see the free attacker on the weak side

Win or lose I can't say I'm overly thrilled at how this game has gone. Still approaching big games with the mindset of working their asses off in the defensive third and praying they can scrape enough goals across without really knowing how they can make it happen. I realize this is still where we're at but that sucks.

I'll probably write a much longer post about this tomorrow but I agree completely.  This is the most disheartened I've been as a US fan in a long, long time.  Not because of the result, entirely because of the style.  This has been horrid, regressive football.  I thought we had moved past this.

WHAT THE HELL?
Our midfield is a disaster, and we have two slow old guys dragging ass, so let's bring on a striker.

Did US get to choose the location for this match? If so, why would they choose somewhere where they wouldn't have a true home field advantage.

I haven't been on the fire-JK bandwagon but he has a lot to answer for in this game

Wondo lol. This is that situation where you blame the GM for even giving the coach the option to use him. Unfortunately...

Almost certainly it was chosen by CONCACAF.

I think it's CONCACAF's choice. Rose Bowl makes the most sense for ticket sales, host team be damned.

CONCACAF chose the venue, because it's in theory a neutral site. Each team did the same to get here, neither should have a traditional home field.
