Use of email to send photos via Galaxy 3 phone

My Samsung Galaxy 3 phone is tied to my work network (major law firm).  Any email I send via the phone goes through the work network, including personal photos (kids, buddies, etc.), it goes through my work server.  I want that to stop, and there must be a way for me to send photos outside of my network (e.g. via yahoo?), but because I'm a techie idiot, I don't know how to accomplish that.   Can someone either give me very specific instructions on how to do that or direct me to a site that will give me those instructions?

Thanks, Jebbidiah Bleedred.

Only work email goes through the work server, I would assume? You could have a gmail account that uses data (and not the office's WiFi) and attach photos that way. Or a yahoo account but honestly gmail works so well on the android phones I'm not sure why you'd use anything else.  Or are you looking for something even sneakier?

But if his work email uses a work server, won't it still use that server whether it is on data or wifi?

I was assuming he'd be using a personal gmail account as well. But you're right, that might be assuming too much.

But how do I link emails to the gmail account (which I don't have, I have a yahoo account, but I suppose I could make a gmail account)?   And I'm not looking to be super sneaky, I just don't want personal stuff on my work network.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I think you were overthinking it. Just put the yahoo mail app on your phone and use that when you're sending personal emails.

Edited to add: are you trying to use the contacts in your work email (like outlook or something) to send personal stuff to? Are you asking how you can import all your contacts to your yahoo mail?

Turn off wifi. Use your yahoo mail. Profit.

This is what I was getting at, expect that nobody profits from Yahoo! mail's continued existence.

Edit: That and you'd only have to turn off wifi if you're sending from work, which is what I thought was originally being asked. I think.
