One of the most boring setups for a UCL QF 2nd leg I can remember. That said, some early goals from the dogs could make this real fun real fast.

Ever since Sarri brought Jorginho for the 6, Chelsea's use of Kante has been perplexing to me. World's best 6 or defensive 8 and it feels like for years now they've played him as more of an 8/10 and sometimes flare him out wide. He's still pretty good at it, but it seems like a waste of his talents.

Lampard getting roasted on Twitter for his starting lineup. Not enough attackers.
I mean, they're down 2 - 0 and there is one player you would classify as an out and out attacker. Two if that's where you slot Gallagher. It's a real "We give up" choice.

Havertz looked like he couldn't decide if he should shoot or create contact when he got into the box there.

And then Real get one completely against the run of recent play.

Barring a huge comeback from Benfica tomorrow, looks like a Derby della Madonnina for a spot in the UCL Final.

With such a collection, how do you assemble a Chelsea team without enough attackers? Like, is it even possible, apart from deploying kit men and ball boys?

The last time these clubs met in the Champions League semifinals, Milan advanced on "away" goals. Thankfully that nonsense has been abandoned. The last time they met in Champions League, this iconic photo happened.

Serie A would be guaranteed one club in the finals. They've been thumping their chest lately, playing this ad before every match with the tagline "calcio is back."

Not much drama left in the quarterfinals, but the semifinals should be awesome. Not too often you get a local derby in this competition and the crowds at San Siro are going to be insane. The two super clubs on the opposite side should provide plenty of drama too.
