My wife Pat has a respectable Republican cloth coat...and we're going to keep Checkers, I don't care what anyone says.
I blame the nattering nabobs of negativism in the press for his demise.
I’m absolutely convinced that if Tampa picks him up he will instantly become a dominant relief pitcher. He does have a 97 mph fastball and a decent slider. Tampa seems to turn guys like that into hall of fame level pitchers all the time.
With a summer of prep in Tampa, he will be tan, rested, and ready.

I never liked Tilt. It's dumb, but even as a grown man I can't help but pretend like I know these people, and you develop opinions about them as people from their body language, interviews, seeming joy for the game, stupid stuff that probably has nothing to do with them as actual people. But, whatever, that's sports. On the spectrum from AJ Pierzynski to Mookie or Shane, I would put Tilt pretty close to the AJP side.

One of the 25 in 2018 and can't ever take that away. There is always that.

Oh yeah.

Yeah, that was great. Maybe they cut him because stuff like that can’t happen anymore

It's odd that Cora calls him "kid." He's a major league veteran and he's nearly 36 years old. He's got a ring, he's got decent money in the bank, and he's had a decent MLB career. Why the paeans?

Probably shows the coddling attitude the Sox have had with this guy for a while. He pitched well for a while, stunk out loud, got about a dozen more chances than he should have, and finally and deservedly lost his job.

Thanks for '18 but going forward his pitching won't be missed. May we all be as fortunate to have as many chances as a mediocre middle reliever.
