I've had few pretty bad ones. This one on my thigh hurt for 6 months. I can't imagine some of the ones you had as a goalie.
Anybody can get drilled like that in a game, but you have to get away from my bulkier stuff to bruise me. Back about 10 years ago I had pads that didn't have much coverage on the tops of my knees when I butterflied. I took a few off the knees, but one in practice I thought shattered my knee cap. Thankfully, I was just a vag, but the egg in the fucking middle of my knee for months was a little tough. That one was probably the worst, and that counts getting hit in the collarbone countless times and once in the neck.

And PSK I can't stop watching that. Fat man moves quick.

DAMN you. Two hours gone yesterday to rewatch game 3 - and then I had to leave for a place with no streaming capability with 5 min left (or 20 min of vid time) in Game 4, and two more games to go!

While we're on the topic, though - are there any similar repositories for the 2004 ALCS?

Thought this was pretty great. From Twitter user @DownGoesBrown...

"The most Canucks moment of all-time was when the light shining through Naslund's #19 banner formed a giant frowny face."

Who is that in front of Ted Green? This is from my childhood and I cannot place him.
The picture captures what the Bruins meant in the early 70's to my cousins and neighbors
who served

The Granite State
Back row: Stanfield, Awrey, Hodgie, Green?, Pieface, ?
Front row: Cash, Bobby, Ace, Westfall, Espo, Chief, ?

I think Ace Bailey is the name you're searching for. Died tragically aboard one of the hijacked 9/11 planes.

[sup]Regarding the guy between Hodge and Pie, my first thought in looking at the Bruins pic was Ron Murphy.... And the guy below looks like Glen Sather. All those guys, Bailey and Green, too, were on thr '68-'69 squad.... Just a thought.... [/sup]

[sup]Thnx[/sup]

The incomparable Dafoomie celebrated Randy Burridge Day by uploading BOS-VAN Game 7 in its entirety. It's the NBC video and crowd audio synched with 98.5's play by play by Goucher & Beers.

Glorious Shit

If you use a Youtube or flash downloading extension for your browser, the 1080p feed is about 3.5 GB while the 720p takes up 2.2 GB.

Of course you do.

The streaks of flames on the helmet and jersey for (presumably) the leading scorer is a nice touch in the Seguin video.

It is for the top scorer, and apparently, when the top scorer gets a point money gets donated to to charity.

You may have heard of European clubs and leagues giving a leading scorer a gold helmet to wear during games to award the player, but the Swiss National Leagues take it a step further. Since 2002, the National Leagues (A and B) top scorers on each team have worn a flaming helmet and jersey with TOP SCORER written in big font on the back. While these players look ridiculous, it's all for a good cause and growing hockey in Switzerland as for each point the top scorer gets means money donated to junior hockey in Switzerland. Since 2002, over 3 million Swiss francs have been raised for Swiss youth hockey which is pretty awesome despite having to look like a jackass in the process.
I didn't know that part.

So, tabulating great Swiss ideas over the centuries we have:

Emmenthaler
Fondue
Donating to youth hockey charities each time a leading scorer scores

balanced against:

Aiding and abetting the Nazis, drug lords and tax evaders
